Tsunami Pictures

Did I hear correctly today that Pfizer is the only US company to contribute something so far?

That was said on ABC, but they may just be the first to tell the press. I'd be surprised is AB hasn't already started shipping drinking water as they always do for disasters, and there are probably many others. If not, perhaps Pfizer will shame them into it.

I noticed that Amazon.com is directly accepting donations that go 100% to the Red Cross for relief efforts in this disaster. They're over $3.5M so far, with over 61,000 people contributing.

EDIT:

Found this link, which indicates that FedEx, Coca Cola, Abbott Labs, Johnson+Johnson, PepsiCo, Cisco, and Citigroup Financial amongst others have made significant contributions:

There is a list up on google of organizations accepting contributions.

This is one of the most horrible things that I have ever seen. May God be with them and their families.

It wasn't until I looked closely..... that I figured out what seperated this photo from many of the other damage photos. Gives a little perspective to how the death toll numbers are so high.

The US has increased their relief aid pledge from 35 million to 350 million. That's fantastic and makes me proud during such a terrible time. Companies and countries around the world are lining up to help and contribute. It's good to see so many coming together and hopefully it continues to grow.

FWIW, my wife's employer, MCI, is tripling whatever contribution their employees make. I think a few other corps. are doing similar matches with their employees.

WTH it's only money.

I just heard that Michael Schumacher gave $13,000,000.00. Another report has the figure at 10 mil. Whatever, he sure stepped up.

I wonder of Tiger Woods (he has some Thai heritage, right?) will step up big also?

I heard on the news that this unfortunate event will need atleast 20 billion dollars to "fix." We're going to need more than 20 billion i think.
This really hurts, bodies found: 150,000 and still counting.

Check out the the dark colored t-shirt the guy is wearing in this pic

His manager Willi Weber announced an amount of 10 million US Dollars yesterday evening during a german TV donation show.

It's too bad we cannot somehow separate our relief funds, so moron a$$holes like him don't get a red cent. I'd rather give him my hands around his throat, than allow him to benefit from my donated relief funds.

Serenity Now, Serenity Now. In an impoverished nation such as that if all you had to wear was a pink skirt you probably would.

You are right. The shithead in the picture is also wearing a pink skirt too. But I do believe he DOES have a choice of his clothings.

I hear what youre saying but i was refering to the person on his shirt, i mean, did he sent a few million? I wonder.......

What a shocking image; though it doesnt disturb me. But nobody deserves to die and have their remains left like that. :( It's gonna make it almost impossible to identify these people if left stagnant in water too long. Such a waste.
