tint or no tint

I had my black NSX's windows tinted 35%-light-passage all the way around this spring. I'm happy with the cooler interior but not so much with the look.

I intend to have the side window tints removed and redone in a lighter tint, probably 50% or more. 35% is just too dark and you lose some of the lines that make an NSX distinctive. The pillars are part of the look and when they blend in with the windows, something is lost.

You also might want to consider a very very very light tint (e.g. 85-90%) on the windshield to reduce UV and some heat. Chances are this is illegal where you live, though, so you'd be taking a chance.

Nice Avatar. I brought up to my wife, "How about NESX?" She then looks at me like I'm an idiot, N E SeX. Yeah, I have a strong preference for a single sex.

Hey, is that your 205? Is it one of the GTi's?

Again, another one that agrees with my OEM-look problem. The huge black part...

Using a very light tint (that does not look "too black" and too aftermarket) does wonder against that "effect":

I have pretty dark tint on all but the windshield, and the V1 works fine and gives plenty of warning.

I go for no tint. According to the Valentine 1 site, tinted windows decrease the efficiency of the V1.

Wow, neat! The 205 never made it to the US. Peugeot had pulled out of the US market completely by 1992, I think.
