I'm having a hard time interpreting your want list. Why the cut-off at 1998? The 1999-2001 are pretty good as well. (Bias acknowledged.) BTW, they didn't make any 1997 or 1998 models with the 5-speed. Choice is 4 or 6. But more importantly, they made almost no coupes from 1995 onwards, so it looks like you're after 1992-1994 (Get a '94 then for the better rims.) Or are you just trying to avoid snap ring issues? Here's a new chart that combines info from previous threads, and clarifies the NA1/NA2 confusion.
NA1 has 3.0 engine: All automatic cars (1991-2005), and manual cars 1991 through 1996
NA2 has 3.2 engine: Manual cars 1997 through 2005
Note, every car has either NA1 or NA2 as part of the VIN number.
Hopefully this chart shows everything you need to understand when looking for your first NSX.

Thanks, you are a wealth of info! I really loved my '92 5-speed and hated my '98 T automatic. So yes, I want manual and from what I've read I think I prefer the 5-speed. I found the targa top noisy (wind noise above 100 mph) and seemingly begging for gasket replacement, and it was inconvenient enough to remove that I barely used it even her in CA.

What’s wrong with 1991? Including that year more than doubles the number of possible cars.

Agreed. Furthermore, only the last few of 91 produced were affected with snap-ring issue, while most of 92 were affected with snap ring issue.
