Thinking of selling...

oh man.. tough choice! i feel your pain... but it won't be as bad as the pain i'd feel if i sold mine! haha

I see two ways you can go with this.

1. If you think you'll have more fun driving the thing on casual outings/wknds/trips to the gym...my vote goes to doing the 02, toning it down, and get a VRH. The 02 conversion will give you renewed sense of newness. Trust me.

2. If you're wanting to keep going.. do the Madonna WB kit and simply thug down everyone on the road thru sheer awesomeness of presence! haha.

Either way, it's a WIN!

I don't know about where you live but R8s and F-cars are quite ordinary here. A facelifted NSX gets quite a bit more stares (if you're into that kind of thing) from other drivers in the know imho!

Agreed!

Ryu, my wife is gonna love you. She wants me to keep it!

Going to play a bit of devils advocate... 02 conversion or, even moreso widebody, is a nearly one way trip.

I've yet to see one where i thought the end product was OEM level having owned an 03 (although admittedly the conversions are better quality wise than the widebodies) but even if you love the outcome, it will push the car over the line where it becomes enormously difficult to sell.

If you have the SLIGHTEST inkling that you might want to unload it, my advice would be to proceed with extreme caution towards effectively irreversible mods.

$45K for that beast... who ever buys that will be a lucky dog to say the least.

I think of all the sports cars and forums out there, the only 2 cars that come to mind, when people sell then regret, are:

-NSX
-GT3 (996)

I say keep it or someone on here HAS to buy it

^^^ Good point

On that vein, you can swap cars with swbatte. He misses his NSX daily as he climbes into that black thing. Swap with him and then he will start missing his black thing at the same time you start missing your NSX.

Swap back!

It'll be like a key party!

You are one to talk Deaners :)

Actually long term plans involve bringing your mello yello back to Ontario sucka.

FYI you have exactly 1000 more posts than me.

Oh the ironing...

Yes, '02 conversion is out. I decided it was just denial forcing me to look into more parts for the car. I've been telling a few primers offline that I've been both listing my car for sale and shopping for aftermarket parts at the same time. It's a sickness... :frown:

As for the blog, I intended it to be a brutally honest log of my thoughts and experiences with my NSX. Good or bad, sweet and bitter it's all there for the world to see. I have nothing to hide and I hope one day to look back and read it and get a good chuckle. It sure is a true representation of my mind's workings.... :P

John, your car is a beauty. It's unfortunate I won't be looking to get into something mid next year (I'm sure BLKBIRD will be gone by then :frown:)

In a perfect world I'd have my black TL-S, your NSX and a 996 GT3 (black of course) in my garage.

If it's still around in the new year we'll definitely be talking. I love every mod you have and would thoroughly put it through the paces at the track, like it was intended for.

Sadly Steve, my mid-summer next year it will either be in pieces or in someone else's garage. PM me if you are really serious and maybe we can work something out. I'd hate to see it parted out.

John,

I figured as much. I'm not in the position to buy right now, I'm looking for early to mid next year. I don't have the space as of yet (transition from condo to house). It's been either an NSX or 996 GT3 for me either way.

Your car is pretty much built to perfection... do you have any doubt you'll regret your decision if you do indeed sell?
