If any of you guys know someone looking for a heavily modded track NSX, lmk OK? I'll even give out a finder's fee

I'm not "giving" it away, but I'll prob sell it at a price that will have me crying for years.

My blog's got all the details and pics.

Thanks,
John

You like the gtr that much more?

Haha, this has nothing to do with the GTR and more with the fact the car's seen less than 2000 miles in the last 3 years :(

I see you john. I'm in the same boat. I've probably driven the same amount of miles in the same period of time too. But it's so hard to consider selling mine. That's why I keep going back and forth on selling my gtr. I've put it up for sale twice and taken it down.
Anyway, sorry to digress. I didn't do a good job of convincing you to keep the nsx.
good luck

Wanna trade cars for a while?

I don't know John a few friends of mine have bought and sold their GT-R's already...I think people get caught up in the whole "newness, its a GTR, super fast" love but in the end its a glorified Infinity.

It just looks like a G35, Nissan 350Z, Hyundai Genesis....but not exotic looking.

People say they don't care about looks but subconsiously we all do.

See Matt that's all you had to say man...cmon! kidding... ;)

Keep the NSX or at least go F-car, L-Car or 911 (hmmm GT3 for both track and personal use)....now you've got a compelling arguement against the NSX.

Haha, I'm just thinking a loud to myself. Every time I drive it, I feel so good. This has nothing to do with other cars on the radar and more with the fact I just want something that might be used more often.

gt3 it is then.....

Your biggest problem is that you stopped modding it!

Once you do that, it is game over.

But it may not be too late for you.

Run to the phone and call SOS - you need a Turbo! Chris will cure all of your ills.

You know what Dave, the crazy thing is I am on the fence between selling it and going nuts with it. Turbo, '02 conversion and tuning *down* the styling with a more sleeper look so I can take it out more often is another very real possibility.

I have been around here enough to see all the regret threads (lol), so I have no illusions about the feeling of seeing the car being driven away. The car right now is a done project and owes me nothing. It only cost me insurance and space. I don't have any desire to replace it with anything like a GTR or higher end exotic like a Gallardo. In fact, if I do get rid of it, I'd likely start modding the hell out of my Skyline or pick up another Lotus 7 or Exige. I like simple cars.

Well its a track car. Your never going to put that many miles on one of those. If you did it would break all the time.

if you ever do this...can I call dibs on your front parking lights by any chance? they are the coolest, best looking design I've seen so far!

I vote tone it down, 02+ keep the SC and drive the hell out of it!! Hell, I daily drive mine these days. Atleast during all non-wintery months!

Hey i second that notion of toning it down and driving it daily...such a nice nsx and i bet you would have sellers remorse and wish you hadnt sold it lol

I vote tuning it down also.

I'm in the process right now to turn my nsx back into a street car.

Just took the NSX out this morning for a 25 min drive and I'm all smiles. The idea of toning it down cosmetically with a facelift and maybe a color change is very appealing. One thing though is that it will cost $$, which this year is tight (bought a new house this year with a lot of projects to pay for!). Keeping it will be nice and in the grand scheme of things will be cheaper than selling and buying something else later, bur having a few extra bucks and the garage space has it's appeal too.

Argh!!!

I went through the same decision. In the end I wanted to drive something different and spend the $$ on a car rather than mods. It's not an easy choice though....

I was looking at $25k in NSX mods or
02+ NSX or
GT3.

After talking to Ody, he said going from the 92 to 04 resulted in driving a nicer newer version of the same car. That made up my mind.

And in the case of an automatic NSX, that's probably correct as both have the smaller engine and auto transmission. But if you're talking about a manual car, I'd say that that they're different.

Sean, you made the wrong choice!!! Sell that boring black German car and get an 02+ NSX with turbos stuffed into every knook and cranny!!!

I'd kindly purchase those wheels off ya!!! :P

You're so full of it.

Well, I'm on the fence so long I am risking hemorroids

Got 2 decent offers for the NSX, and also a nice quote for a widebody!

Driving it and looking at it makes a very persuasive argument to keep it. It's just such a fine car. I'm not at all into Porsches of any ilk.

If I sell it, I think I'm gonna have to cave in and pick up another underpowered aluminum MR car...R8 or F360. I have leads on two very good deals.
