Holy crap, terrible drivers! What the heck are they doing?

The GT1 Titanium exhaust sounds really good. Personally I like the sound of turbo cars ;)

I meant at idle and mid throttle. Its not that loud. It's quiet at idle and cruise compared to a lot of exhausts.

I also had a chance to hear a few different NSX exhausts, and was suprised at the overall differences. Everything I heard was deeper, as if the engine in those cars was different than mine.

I would have to agree with you here. I just took off my ARK DT-S exhaust and put on my new GT-One F1 V5.1 exhaust. They are mated with Cantrell Headers, and still have the stock cats on them (until this weekend ). But, this exhaust is very quite while cruising and even WOT with the CTSC. It is much more quiet than my Ark DT-S. Now, once i get the testies on there, I know that will change everything!

I highly recommend the GT-One F1 v5.1. Save your money it is worth it.

By the way....what test pipes do you have on yours?

I believe they are made by Taitec. I got them from GT-rom. I have an NA1 system don't forget these are not NA2 pipes. On GT-Roms recommendation I swapped the entire system over to NA1.

Stock header and AIS

Thanks Vance,

It doesn't have that raspy sound like that, and that's why i liked it  . What causes that the headers or the test pipes?

This sound with just a little less volume is what i would love to have.

I have a GTLW with only about 300 miles on it, maybe i need to give it a little time. To me it doesn't seem very loud at all. I can hear it at about 2k but that's about it. I guess it could be loud from outside the car but i don't hear it. Idle sounds almost stock.

So much info it's driving me crazy most especially since i am new to this... a couple more questions sirs,... what headers would be ok regardless of the exhaust i get? what do you guys mean by test pipes?

Confused? Welcome to the club, i stay that way  . Test pipes are straight pipes that replace the catalytic converters for "testing purposes" .

Ohhh are those what they are called :) not a problem here in the Philippines... we remove cats all the time.... damn... so many choices and so little time (and money).

I am confused as well. If you wanted a low quiet exhaust when just cruising, but an car that screamed like an F1 motor during the higher RPM range, what would be the best? Also when the headers are changed, will it induce a sound change? How are the comptech headers?

Overwhelming guys... thanks.. yes i have ITB's just recently ordered them from TODA together with cams and alot more... Cats won't be a problem since here in the philippines, it's OK to remove them and nobody will go after you for this...i was looking an the GT1 but the price of the brand new titanium set is kinda high, was wondering if anybody has any slightly used ones for sale

what type of engine management are you going with?

I have a 91, so that is not a problem for me. Do they Taitec pipes have a 2.25" ID or is it a 2.25" OD?

Thanks again,
Nathan

I don't know. They were a perfect fit however.

that is another issue i have been debating on.... FIY, the engine i have is still being built... waiting for the TODA parts to be delivered and other things are still coming as we speak... some people told me to go APEX or MOTEC but justin (if i remember his name correctly) from TODA mentioned that i shold go HONDATA... have not decided on this yet.. any suggestions?

I'd look into the HKS F-CON V Pro. Mike [NSXGOD] and S.O.S.[i think], are having great success with it. F-CON V Pro

i've received many compliments on my GT-One F1 with test pipes from people as well as the police..via a fix it

Did you go back to running cats with yours? Can you post a rear view of your ride? I just want to see what the other drivers see:biggrin:

Where can you drive your ride there? The last time I was there, I recall road construction going on almost everywhere; esp. the Manlia to Pampanga highway.

FCON V pro is really popular in japan, but the only worry is that this guy is in the phillipines. you'd just have to make sure theres a shop that can actually tune whatever ECU you go with. I have no idea how popular tuning is over there, hopefully for the OP its big enough..ITBs are going to need a lot of work.
