Sweetest Sounding Exhaust

Was that you driving? wow you actually looked almost decent.

Actually that was friend of mine I was the guy doing the shoddy camera work:biggrin: He's quite good and I'm trying to get there. Oh but I will make you earn your PB&J when we get to Mid Ohio:tongue:

You know the more I drive mine the more I realize how much of a difference the valve makes for controlling drone. It stopped working for a while due to an electronic issue and man... it sucked without it.

All aftermarket exhausts have some drone you can't get around for weight savings

I was looking at my GT-ONE flyer and see GT-ONE makes a single exit exhaust. Any feedback on this? I've seen nothing so far here on it. Sound clip would be excellent.

Any recent sound clips or videos of these exhausts?

IMO the GT-One exhausts are really ricey sounding. They're just so g-d loud. It's almost like "if we make this car as loud as humanly possible, maybe it will sound more like a Ferrari". But it still doesn't sound like an F-Car. It sounds like a Japanese car running straight pipes. I must admit, those videos following the red X with the flow master muffler, it sounds good, but I don't know if I can cut my comptech up and add parts that are commonly found on mustangs. I think when my 3L becomes a 3.5L it will sound different. I'll just wait and see how it sounds then before I go switching exhausts

Weren't a lot of those vids of the GT-One F1 exhausts running without CATS? From what I understand, the v5.1 running with the CATS is fairly quite at lower RPMs until you get the REVS up and mash on the throttle...

Do you give the CATS that much credit for noise increase? I'm running headers, NO CATS & a Comptech Exhaust. My car isn't THAT loud.

That spoon N1 sounds amazing!!! Do have any more videos?

I dunneo...I have the loudest exhaust I've heard and any other NSX owner I've meet has heard.

It's NOT all that great to have that F1 super loud sound....begins to get old.

I would love to hear all the Titanium exhaust available in the market for the Nsx.

And then, someone can make that thread into a "Sticky." That would be a big huge treat for all the Nsx owners.

I have never heard a Tubi clip that does it justice.
To me, they sound too low pitched on these clips
Parking lot rev ups don't do it justice either IMO.

Clips are nice, but prior to dropping tons of $$$ you really need to drive
a car with the exhaust your considering.

I thought I wanted a system early on, drove a car with and hated it!
It was very popular & sounded good here in cyberspace though..

Just wanted to mention it.....

Hi

I agree. My Tubi sounds a lot better than the clips.

Here is another one where I used my Powershot S40 to record in the garage.

Sounds more racey on the clip than I think it is when I drive it. But who knows.

My Tubi in the garage

Enjoy

If I remember correctly, Peter Cunningham's RealTime NSX has the "Taitec GT009 S-Tai" exhaust... not sure what other mods are on the car.. I know it is FI though... enjoy the clip ;) This video was taken by me many years ago.. back in 2001.

And another video I took of Peter in the Winner's Circle... even though he had the Pole Position the entire race, it wasn't enough for the series: (excuse my lame commentary lol)
