Hi guys... would like to get your opinions on what would be the sweetest sounding exhaust for a NSX with ITB's. Something you think will bring out the sound of the engine most with attitude.

A matter of taste, but if you want that race style high pitched scream, Gruppe M (Must remove cats) or GT-One F1 is the way to go.

not trying to discourage you, but ITB= constant tuning

Gtrom F1 sound v5.1

If I had ITBs, I might want a quiet exhaust so I could hear the intake!

I agree. You don't want an exhaust that will overwhelm the ITB's. The GT-One V5.1 is actually pretty quiet its the one I would get. I like the GM too but it has no privisions for cats.

Karim was selling a v3 gruppe M about a year ago, that had been built for cats... perhaps a special production, or perhaps an option?

The gtrom v5.1 is loud, but given its placement, relative to the intake tract and driver, I doubt most exhausts would overpower the sound of induction. I wouldn't call this exhaust 'pretty quiet' by any stretch.

Someone needs to dig up that youtube video of the nsx running ITBs......

Here ya go...

Is the The GT-One V5.1 louder than the Taitec GTLW? I want a louder, more F1 sounding exhaust compared to my DC exh.

I'm sure most of you have seen this, but why not? Probably the close sound without ITB to ITB engine.

Fujitsubo header, GT-One v.2 Superflow titanium exhause. Test pipes. Mugen AIS.

Interior Sound with T top in place

My most fav vid!!

I would say Taitec exhaust personally....

What about a deep sound? (Like what the stock engine sounds like inside only louder and outside?)

Or are most of the systems available for the car the high pitched kind?

Read post 15.

GTLW + test pipes, Me myself and anyone else within 2 miles loves it!

Overwhelming guys... thanks.. yes i have ITB's just recently ordered them from TODA together with cams and alot more... Cats won't be a problem since here in the philippines, it's OK to remove them and nobody will go after you for this...i was looking an the GT1 but the price of the brand new titanium set is kinda high, was wondering if anybody has any slightly used ones for sale

Do you have sound clips of that by any chance?

I heard of one 2 years ago at SCA meet. It sounded badass, but very loud. At the time I only had stock exhaust, so maybe my tolerence level is much higher now.

The meanest and baddest exhaust sound I have ever heard is Sorcery F1.

Deepest is Vance's Fujitsubo header/GT-one exhaust combo. This is about as good as you are going to get for the deep note. The exhaust alone without Fujitsubo header/test pipe is almost stock quiet. I wonder what will happen if you add a louder exhaust to go with that set up.

Sweetest most desirable to my ear is GTone F1 exhaust and ARC Titanium:

Out of all the NSXes I have driven, this is had the sweetest sound. The clip only did it 30% justice, no wall on the back, no amplification, only raw sound. Sounds unreal under load.

. I wouldn't call this exhaust 'pretty quiet' by any stretch.

I meant at idle and mid throttle. Its not that loud. It's quiet at idle and cruise compared to a lot of exhausts.

FWIW, I took the longest trip to date in my NSX to the ALMS/Lime Rock event this weekend. I noticed how big of a difference the valve control makes on the highway. With the valve closed, cruising was much more pleasant. When it opened, it was clearly louder. I don't notice near the difference at idle. I could see a real use for it on this trip.

I also had a chance to hear a few different NSX exhausts, and was suprised at the overall differences. Everything I heard was deeper, as if the engine in those cars was different than mine.

Redtide, there are a couple of decent clips here of my exhaust.

Stock header and AIS

If these videos are remotely close to capturing the actual sound then my favorite exhaust by far is menfou's custom single.

Since he's gone turbo now I bet this thing is just sitting somewhere going to waste. :(
