how hard is it to install?
and what kind of difference will I feel with it?
anyone actually have one installed?
thanks

300.00 shipped until further notice...

how hard is it to install?

and what kind of difference will I feel with it?

I have 2 customers writing a before and after review soon... I spoke with them prior to the order and they will be submitting an honest before and after while driving the same route each time....

for further research into this... search "stmpo" in the main search field and sort through the threads looking for "pertinant" info in the subject field... many NSX'ers have commented on this bar.... here are a few of the threads....

Ross- got to test my car today at the track with your front chassis bar installed. Result- Stiffer is better! This bar rocks...it really helped to stiffen the front end up even more so, and the result could be directly felt in the steering response. Here's a pic ...

BTW...the STMPO large brake deflectors also helped keep the Stoptechs running cool all day

Do you have another identical to Brents on hand? I like that red and white. Whats the current price?

Brent actually paid for a custom paint job to match his 2001 Formula Red NSX...

I can take one across the street and have it shipped next week... price would be 350.00 shipped though...

Let me know...

Regards

I'll take it, meanwhile I'm shipping your lower key panel core back tomorrow. Carbon replacement looks beautiful. I'll PP you in the morn.

I am seriously considering this bar, do you have any left? Your website doesn't seem to work very well. I clicked and clicked and got nothing.

None au naturale? Is the gray an actual painted gray or just the natural metal color (whatever you are using).

Got mine this morn. A nice Sat. morning suprise. Looks fantastic red. Ross you and your crew have done it again.

Must the bumper come loose/off or is it just a PITA to get the duct out. Hopefully it's just a pain. Someone LMK as I'm trying to do this today/tomorrow. Thanks.

1. Took Ramon about 1 hour

2. Just need to jack up the car, remove undertray and plastic radiator duct to bolt on the chassis bar.

3. It is visible if you look from certain angles through the front opening. Sit just slightly lower than the mesh guard on 02 front bumper.

It gives the NSX a really racy/muscle look. Ross recommended gray, which suits my subtle taste perfectly. The gray chassis bar blend in perfectly while still being low key. Fantastic looking piece.

david... here is what someone posted when they installed it... it's a post from page 1

Yeah I saw that earlier but still having issues. I'll get it done tomorrow. The reds gonna look sweet through the front.

The bar is installed and heres my input which i hope is helpful. The bar is quite a snug fit so don't get dicouraged. I did use a ball peen hammer to tap where the bar bolts up to on each side so it would slide in better. Don't worry, once you tighten the bolts up everythings pulled back out to normal. I did'nt see where it was mentioned {maybe I missed it} you will have to trim the duct assm. with a dremal before reinstall to fit nicely around the bar. Best thing to do is print the pic that Ross posted of the duct and try to mimic that. I did it 1st time around luckily. Otherwise the duct will not fit. You will need to purchase some new push pins that hold the duct in place prior to install. If you take your time and are mechanically inclined it takes about 1.5 hours for the job. I'm very happy with the results.
