Any interest in including Japanese market cars sold stateside within your dataset? There are lots of thoughts on how these vehicles are valued, but not a ton of data points. BaT probably already has a few to add.

Thank you! I have gone back and retroactively applied this to every BaT sale since they implemented this change.
This has been one of the most requested expansions since the document started, and I think there is finally enough out there to determine the how JDM impacts the nominal value. No time like the present, so let's find the answer together! Anyone who knows about a JDM NSX sale in the US, on BaT or otherwise since 2010, can contribute with the built-in data submission link:

State of the Market 2024
It is now that time of the year to reflect on the NSX market of the departing 2024. 2024 resulted in nearly the same percentage of NSXs sold vs 2023, leading to a market mostly consistent with 2023 as the books close. Further insights on stock, clean-title NSXs are expanded below.
IN GENERAL:
A total of 351 (20% decrease) NSXs entered the database.The average of all NSX sale prices increased from $99,697 to $101,325. The first time the average has exceeded $100k, though the median is $82,500.
The average of all NSX list prices increased from $100,051 to $100,707.
Among the 268 (8% decrease) stock and clean-title examples:
82 NSX sale prices recorded (20% increase). BaT was the most prolific sale venue with 57 sales.
30 NSXs did not meet reserve (0% change)
73% of NSXs sold (4% increase)
72 NSXs listed by dealers (14% decrease)
84 NSXs listed by private sellers (24% decrease)
In general a cool-stable market was observed:
the sale strength of each type of NSX slightly cooled throughout the first half of the year, maintaining relatively stabilized. The exception was the NA2 Targa (Facelift) which got slightly warmer throughout 2024.
NA1 COUPE MANUAL:
2024 average values decreased 4% and median values increased 2%.2024 average and median listing prices decreased 6%, 4%.
NA1 TARGA MANUAL:
2024 average and median values decreased 1%.2024 average and median listing prices decreased 7%, 5%.
NA2 TARGA (POP-UPS) MANUAL:
2024 average and median values increased 11%, 5% (limited data).2024 average and median listing prices decreased 8% (limited data).
A notable sale at $267,500 occurred in Nov 2024
NA2 TARGA (FACELIFT) MANUAL:
2024 average and median values increased 26%, 9% (limited data).2024 average and median listing prices increased 5%, 0%.
A notable sale at $322,500 occurred in December 2024, the highest recorded NA2 Targa (facelift) manual sale price to date AND the highest recorded Acura NSX sale in the database!

While last year's conclusion was relatively tepid, this year added some excitement especially for NA2s, with strong action on Facelift and Popup NSXs to close out the year and some records. General trends were a continuation of 2023 trends, a shift from listings to sales, and a focus on strong sales of low-miles "unicorns". I'll be curious to monitor the emerging 2025 trends and will continue entering in each sale as it comes. There is no better resource than the NSX Valuation Document for NSX values, capturing NSX sales from all venues including private sales to get the most diverse data set for the most accurate and up-to-date valuations available.
