For another five years. I've been listening to him since he started in NYC and he's gotta be one of the best interviewers out there.

Made my day this morning. He's been bringing a smile to my face every day since I got my first car at 17. That was about 10 years ago. Not too sure I like the "its 4 days a week for now, but that will change" statement; but it is cool people can finally listen to him on their smart phones.

Congrats Howard.

I was wondering what he was going to do. I know a bunch of folks hate the guy but if you listen and give him a chance you'd see that he is probably one of the hardest working, honest A listers out there. I'm sure one of the reasons he resigned was because of the staff that relies on him for their income. Lot's of people over at Sirius are breathing a sigh of relief. I don 't think he could hack being retired. He's got major OCD. Been listening for quite a while and enjoy the show. My wife??? Not so much.

I like him but haven't heard him since he left the airwaves. I refuse to pay for satellite radio. My used RL has a lifetime XM subscription from the previous owner, but unfortunately it doesn't include Stern.

It's worth every penny paying to listen to Stern. He did an interview with Billy Joel a few weeks ago that was incredible. Sometimes his bits are a little over the top, but his guests are the best. You can always look on youtube for exerpts of his show. For example, today he played a prank on a crew member telling him that the show was no longer going on. To hear a grown man cry and fall apart is priceless.

I bought the lifetime Sirius plan with the best of XM (so I get O&A). Getting XM was not too much more expensive. You may want to call and see if they have a similar deal at XM especially around the holidays when they are pushing the service.

+1... I've been listening to him non stop since I got my subscription with my new Audi back in Jan... after the 3 month trial period ended, I bought the package because of him.

Opie and Anthony are the best! Them and Covino and Rich are the only reasons why I keep my subscription anymore.

I read in one of the national newspapers (forget which one :frown:) that the day Stern released he was signing another contract, XM subscriptions went up like CRAZY. I want to say they went up 30% or so, but either way... long live Stern!

I've been an XM listener for 10 years. Two years ago I signed up for two XM lifetime subscriptions, one with the Best of Sirius. I no know that I'll save a lot of money over paying monthly because of Stern.
