should i paint the roof red...? need opinion

well, as some of you know, i just got my car a few mos ago. i know, i keep forgetting to posts some pics but i will soon. rt now, im debating whether i shud paint the roof red to match with the car. is it worth it? will the value of the car drop a bit ? i like the way it looks now with my black hp wheels, but sometimes i wonder if it will look better with the roof being 'red'.

Hi, i was in the exact same dilema you are in just awhile ago. I got my nsx red/blk roof, but i wanted the more updated look of the red roof so i just had it done along with the wings west body kit. I too have black HP wheels, so i will attach some before and after pics for you. This is also on H&R springs.

hahhaa....i got a twin brother !! is your car lowered with eibachs?
i have the updated rear valence but same tail lights.
did you also use 3mm spacer for the hp's? im sure you did....
now im gonna stare at yr photoshop for a while and decide if i want
to paint the roof or not...

lol, its NOT a photoshop!!! I had my roof painted red at the same time i had my body kit painted. Yes, i used 3mm spacers and my car is dropped with H&R springs. :biggrin:

Your car. Do what you like. I say keep it black.
Will painting it red reduce it's value? Yes. Changing the OEM paint color/scheme will lower resale value (or at least will reduce your potential buyer pool).

If you plan on getting the CF NSX-R spoiler, then definitely keep the top black. It looks much better that way.

I personally like the black roof better than the matching red roof.

i see. it's looks real good! now im thinking of doing the same thing now.
i also got the same sides by WW. still getting painted though.
btw, what size tires you running for front and rear? how wide are they?
i might have used the wrong ones cuz im running 225 front, and 265 rear.
i sort of like that stretch look. can i still run 215 up front you think ? rt now the front
dnt look as stretch compared to the rears.

Previous owner painted the top AND door sills/handles red. I am having it painted back to black along w/ the roof.

Hello, my '91 's roof is painted red by previous owner and i don't like it.
I like it black because it gives power to the car.

This topic has been beat too. I am in the same dilema, my car is a 2000 silverstone, but i'm burning to paint the roof and mirors black. Still can't decide. I perfer the black roof with black wheels. my .02

what size tires you running for front and rear? how wide are they?
i might have used the wrong ones cuz im running 225 front, and 265 rear.

For 18"/19" wheels, the best tire sizes (to avoid rubbing, keep the TCS working properly, keep the speedometer/odometer accurate, etc) are 215/35-18 front and 275/30-19 rear. The best summer tire available in those sizes is the Pirelli PZero Nero.

Paint it red man. It looks way better. I think it makes it more clean and natural. The black makes it look like they cheaped out and didn't finish painting the car.
