Selling my NSX, getting a 348/355 - I think

Ya know 348, there are some quality people here. But there are some squirels too. Ya just have to sift through it. I've discovered Bio isn't such a bad guy, By the way Bio I took you off my ignore list. Ski not so bad eather, all bark, but no bite. I have to say to "the kid" I really like your gal pic, she's really cute, but you have to see Oz's new pic, totally cool pic of Kate B..
What I don't understand is, say some one from this group does decide to sell there NSX, in favor of an F-car. Why do you find soooo offensive? Some of you guys need to lighten up. I wouldn't surprise me a bit if some of you guys, especally some of you younger guys in college, don't in fact end up getting one some day. Look what you have to look forward to, being labeled as an outcast by your own croud, man who wouldn't look forward to that.
Oh, by the way, none of you guys could ever possibly bag on my spelling any where nearly as bad as my son does. So I get it in person, not by some proxy line of text from this forum.

Funny how what comes around goes around. Since being *banned* on Fchat (deservedly so I admit) the NSX threads have actually turned productive. Even my friend Bullfighter has written some great stuff. So have you, Indytech. We all love our cars, no matter the make or model (even the Wal-Mart crowd in the Z06 forums :biggrin: )...and that's what matters most IMO.

Apparently some guys at F-chat are coming over here feeling the need for retribution and so he started this bogus thread ( which will probably make three pages..LoL ). Check out the Lotus vs Elise thread and you'll see we try to offer the pro and cons of NSX vs other cars. Of course we always have one or two guys who say " NSX , NSX ,NSX " ,but that's just because we are quite passionate about or cars:wink:

In our local group we have a guy that traded his car for a 996TT Pcar..he still comes to meets, we still like him..
I have personally been in possession of a Ferrari in the past (I would not say that I owned it, because it actually owned me) but I was only 21 at the time..and I say that you should buy whatever car you want, if you got the scratch.
A few moths back we had a drive planned with the local S2K group and some Ferrari guys were invited too...two F cars showed up, one guy had a really nice 512TR and he was really cool, the other car was newer and the guy was crazy, he drove on the wrong side of the road at 100mph with oncoming traffic!...I'm sure there are probably some NSX crazy drivers on this site too but that Ferrari guy risking our lives and the lives of others did not leave a good taste in our mouths that day.
I like Ferraris, I think many people on this site like Ferraris too, but the attitude that comes with some Ferrari owners has soured some people that are not in the Ferrari community.

without naming the names, merely because there are too many of them to list without some effort on my part, I feel it's quite pathetic that allyou guys can do is yell "troll" and "go away" (essentially) to a guy who posted a pretty innocuous initial, and followup reply type of post. Perhaps allyou guys who feel the NSX can't defend itself against a non existent attack should start your own board where all new members need group approval prior to being able to post.

348 says that the Ferrari owners he met were more passionate about their cars and that the NSX owners were acting snobby. This comes directly on the heels of a huge tift that started on Fchat forum about should some guy buy a 348 or NSX. Needless to say it got ugly. I read quite a few of the posts ( never posted myself ) harsh stuff indeed. The passionate part is the direct clue to his allegiance and his give away. That's the direct quote/phrase the 348 owners were using to defend their cars.

Ok seriously. This is what I'm getting out of this. The 355 is a hot little car. So go get one if you want, but I really don't understand tossing a post up in the biggest NSX forum in the world stating that you're doing it because NSX owners are apathetic, which is obviously crap.
I was never offended or even bothered by 348's initial post, although I do believe his conclusions are way off base. I wonder how long he's owned his NSX. Is it posted for sale in our fourms?
As I look at his initial post again, it does seem to paint NSX owners as unimpassioned and apathetic and snobby, and then says how great Ferrari owners are. I think it's a mistake to generally insult a group, and then expect them to respond politely.
Many Prime members did respond with courtesy, others, well, they took the comments to heart and replied accordingly, which is a product of their passion.
We have many F-car owners show up for a couple of cruises we do up here each spring and fall. Many of them are former NSX owners. They are for the most part nice people. There are jerks who own NSXs, F-cars, P-cars, Vettes etc. just like there are nice, passionate and generous owners.
Therefore, Three48, don't sell your NSX or buy a Ferrari because of what other owners are like, do it because the car you will drive makes you happy!

Ya know Ski, I loved the "Wallmart Croud thing" LOL. One thing we all seem to have in common is utter disposition of the wannabe sports car croud. I'm going to be nice, "all cars ore nice". I personally don't like the Vetts, butt chevy does make some pretty amazing engines. I will also say the new Vetts, are better than the old one's. They just keep putting the engine in the wrong place. When Indy cars start putting the engines back in the front, I'll offer to eat my words.

It is amazing, the number of arguments that spring up from people making generalizations. Generalizations about F-car owners, NSX owners, Vette owners, etc. How about looking at the individual people instead of the badges on their cars?

To be honest, Mini (yes the Mr. Bean Mini) people are on the same level as NSX owners when it comes to being helpful, mature and respecting eachother. Lada are often really cool people because no matter how much you bash their car, they take it with a warm smile :smile:

I used to own one a long long time ago, a Lada that I got from my Best Grandpa when he bought a new one. He gave it to me because at that time I was down and out. And it was using on LPG (Liquified Petrol Gas) also, so it was really cheap. I think I drove about 40000 km in it but by then the body was rusted so badly it would no longer pass inspection.
