Official 2025 F1 thread.....

How long will Lawson last??? Yuki could get a shot soon!
LH did very well qualifying in the red car. Is he getting to grips with it?

Just by comparing the steering input hand movements of Liam Lawson in the RBR and either of the Racing Bull drivers, it is clear that the Racing Bull is able to be driven smoothly - the RBR is snappy, twitchy and often unstable in corners - I don’t think swapping Yuki and Liam would solve anything - only cloning Max would help.

Clearly the Red Bull is a handful; as it was last year after the first quarter of the season. I suspect Sergio Perez is content to be retired instead of the meat grinder that RB is.

McLaren comfortably on top - George not too far behind. Lewis gave a couple of places away by letting Leclerc through, and Max capitalised on that. Ocon & Bearman were better this week for Haas, and Antonelli was comfortable if not exciting.
Great drive from Alex Albon - more points.
Alonso failed again, as did Sainz. Alpine still no points

Edit - just read about the disqualifications of the Ferraris and Gasly

Yes.Again Ferrari crew. For that Briatore said it will be difficult for Ferrari to be WDC ,must be all team personal on high level.
So far McLarens seems untoucheble. It's interesting difference from Max to Liam like they don't drive same car.

Seems to be confirmed, Yuki and Liam to swap places for the Japanese GP.
It will be very interesting to see if Yuki struggles with the car too. It will be embarrassing for Red Bull if he does...

He probably won’t outqualify Verstappen; that is for sure.
The car is a pig, so to speak, and unless Yuki’s driving style is similar to Verstappen, he will struggle too.

Max proove why he is 4 time WDC.If some one doubt about him yesterday on qualifing and today in race he shoved he
is one of greatest drivers.McLarens were strong again ,Leclerc did good race,Merc. cars with good pace especially Kimi.
I expected more from Lewis.Sorry for Fernando this AM cars are still away.

I liked the racing in the pit-out...that was close hard racing...

Very dull race - nothing happened! If you haven’t watched it, don’t bother - just watch a replay of Q3.
Wow, I have been a Max fan since his rookie debut (and through many years of his over aggression/DNFs, etc...) This was exciting to me because there was always the possibility of the Macs ganging up (team strategy, pit strategy, DRS/pull strategy, tires, etc...); and yet Max still won!!!

yea If they helped each other to draft on the straights ...but that would be like training cats...suzuka is a tough place to pass..It was nice for the home crowd to see a Honda powered winner...

I'd love to see what my fellow primates think...vote for 1

color commentary: A) Button B) Villeneuve

^^. The McLarens were not able to get close enough to Max to challenge, as they were always in dirty air. That advantage, created in Q3, was more than enough to keep him ahead.

Let’s see what happens this weekend.
