Official 2025 F1 thread.....

A better race this week - Piastri was clearly in control, Russell did well to keep second, and Norris had a great race after his start infringement penalty. Leclerc & Hamilton scored good points with Hamilton making up places. Further down the field there were good battle, with Verstappen finally getting the better of Gasly on the last lap.

yea just enough battling for positions, how bout bodacious softs lasting over 20 laps...low fuel cooler temps ect...I think the new Kimi is going to be a good choice, as is Hadjar aka ball squeezer..

So so race. I think the stewards were harsh to Verstappen, but he could / should have given the position back and passed piastri after the safety car.
While Piastri didn’t give Verstappen room, i am not sure how the sport can enforce the rules equally and fairly.

^Max had no intention of making turn2 once Oscar got ahead - he should have given the place back, but didn’t as clean air was worth more than a 5 second penalty. Charles did well to get ahead of George, who had tyre overheating issues towards the latter stages of the race. Lando worked very hard to get from 10th to 4th, and Kimi was almost comfortable in 6th ahead of an unhappy Lewis who only shone when duelling with Lando for a few laps.
The collision between Yuki and Pierre on the first lap was a clumsy racing incident - the race would have been very different for many drivers if they had been more circumspect. This allowed Carlos and Alex to hold off Isack for multiple points.
