This afternoon I noticed a small package left for me.

Looks like Acura has another small gift up their sleeve.

The next time I speak with the NSX Specialist I will ask what time point after purchase these are supposed to arrive. I have had my car for about 2 1/2 years.

Even though I still have my car in my garage right now, I don’t expect to be receiving any gifts. I only got the scale model and never the money clip and one year membership to the NSXCA.

In 2005, someone working for Honda in Torrance, California posted here on Prime that they had some titanium connecting rods left over from a bunch made for testing purposes. Rather than scrap them he gave them away to NSX owners. If you were interested, you sent him your name/address/VIN and he mailed you a Ti rod as long as the supply lasted. It was a nice gesture (and you didn't have to be the original owner of the NSX).

I received another gift from Acura today, a Carbon Fiber NSX money clip. Along with the present, I got a coupon for free membership at nsxca.org, but the code isn’t working.

I got the model and it was damaged so sent it back. Then after what seemed forever I was told no more would be replaced (my black one came back in yellow). They offered and I accepted the Pikes Peak edition model. Looks great. Then the NSX specialist contacted me and said they had my original damaged car, so they sent it back to me. Plus I received the money clip. Nothing on the Tumi yet.

You know you want a Tumi man bag...

Think they were having issues with quality. Mine arrived damaged (seat dislodge and askew and wiper broken off), sent it back to be fixed, it was lost with the model company, so as a good will gesture the NSX specialist sent me another he had - the Pikes Peak version. All this took a few months. A while later the NSX specialist called and said mine was returned but still damaged and asked if I wanted it. So now I have two. All good and I appreciated the effort.

The Pikes Peak version is pretty cool!! And probably rare too!!

And BTW, I think it was a really neat deal for them to give you a replica model of your car..... We're all "boys" deep down!
