Nsx Replacement Designers Are Stuck

I like the B pilar if its black :)

I also modified the intake on the side to make it more prominent! thoughts?

Its a quick hack job so take it easy on me lol

I played around for a few hours last night. I tried to come up with something that still satisfied the line styling of the HSC without looking gimmicky, yet looked more like a descendant of the NSX without simply looking like an NSX with a different nose. I went through a lot of iterations, but this is the one I think I like best.

I like the changes you made. The shape and profile of the revised scoop and pillars matches the shape of car. Well done.

Start in the right direction. Need a little more. (plus some updating)

what about adding a wing like the NSX has? Its one of the signature lines of the NSX IMO!

Come on Honda...we really need to get back to something like this:

Acura_HSC.sized.jpg

I would sell everything I own to buy one of these if it was around 100K.

I just don't know why Honda is screwing the pooch so badly on this. Guys face it, good or bad, we all may currently own the best car ever produced by Honda.

The revisions are coming along very nicely. Well done guys:biggrin:

What about a rear wing as mentioned above. No doubt that's gonna be tricky to satisfy most people. Better keep it subtle. The larger intake is nice, but the revision above with the split intake should be adopted as well. What about the area just behind the front wheel? Something seems missing there.

Without B-pillar.

front/rear slightly longer. Reshaped intake.

Couldn't figure a wing. not sure it's needed.

The (HSC) is so buildable..They could even use a revised version of the current chassis to save some costs and I don't think anyone would complain..It's as good as anything. A solid, lightweight V-8 complete's the update.

what i would do. sorry if its crude, my photoshop skill isnt up to par, but just imagine.

which is basically the same thing as I did at the top of page 4

What the hell are you drinking?

its just that the nsx lacks some ponies under the hood. honda let the ponies run away but this time i think honda is smart enough to put reins on the ponies, so expect 500 ponies running wild

Thx L.E.

but your creation actually did make the point quite clear:tongue:

However..there is no reason in the world that the new NSX needs 500hp.

400-450hp tops with beautiful styling and a reasonable price will sell every single one.

If Audi can sell out of R8's for the next few years at 420hp, I think the next NSX would be fine with ~450 as well.

Exactly.

It only needs to compete with cars in it's class (mid engine)

If it's front engine, they are forced to compete with big HP.

That's why they are so confused..Honda doesn't build big block FR cars...they have no identity in this field and by initially choosing front-engine design, they have put allot of pressure on themselves.

You guys can photoshop your hearts out trying to make yourself believe that the HSC can be tweaked and put into production. The harsh reality is that Honda has abandoned ship and we are left out here with our d1cks in our hands.

Keep in mind that Audi is making a 500+ HP R8 soon, but they seem to be doing very well with the 420HP V8.

We know the next NSX is going to have a V10 with around 500 HP. It is too bad it is in the wrong place.

That depends on the weight. 3000 lbs, 450HP... not bad. 3800lbs, 450HP, not so good.

Of course, the GTR is doing well with 480HP and 3800lbs.

Not so fast...let's say the board of directors ax Takeo Fukui and a new CEO resurrects Honda's MR legacy.

 How'd You know what's in my hand!?!?

Here's my question. Let's go back in time to the late 1980's. Were there lots of rumors abound regarding the Honda's supposed Super Car called the NS-X:cool:

What kind of speculations were being drawn up back then?? Can anyone remember?? I was still in Middle School myself so I have no idea.

Were people way off with their predictions? Did Honda introduce a concept car that either resembled or was completely different from our beloved NSX??

I'd like the original '91 NSX owners like Ken Sax to chime in on this also.
