NSX Meeting Holland/Belgium owners (others are welcome too...)

Hi everyone,

At the second stop (in Ramillies), we will have coffee, frisdrank and iets lekkers. We will find some chairs for you all and we have a small bathroom. Kwartje pp.
You are all welcome.

But the “house” is still under construction, we will be in the schuur, dry and warm (80m2).

When you arrive in Ramillies, park in the church parking and also on the street with the small canon.

Then walk 75m along the foot path to our house (we will put an “NSX” sign up saying “parking ->” and another sign saying “<- Footpath”.)

I would like to have all the NSXs in my driveway for a photo, so when you arrive, I'll tell you how to find the entrance.

Ik heb het even samengevat, zodat de 'organisatie' wat duidelijkheid heeft.
Controleer je gegevens even, en als het niet klopt, stuur me een PM of reageer in het forum.
Vooral voor het eten en het slapen is het toch wel belangrijk dat we precies weten waar we aan toe zijn, want er moet gereserveerd worden.
Voor het eten geld overigens dat alleen het menu gekozen kan worden zoals op de linkpage vermeld, en niet van de kaart.

I know this is deviating from the threads topic, but here's some Aussie words.

G'day = hello
G'day mate = when you say hello to somebody you know.
beaut = beautiful
fanging = driving very fast (like in an NSX)
hooning = driving fast like 18yr olds (like in a civic)
you ripper = something good
bling bling = when you have 17/18" chrome rims on your NSX.
chicks = girls
babes = girls
shiela = girls
talent = girls
"blew their doors off" = when you pass somebody in your NSX very fast.
coppers = police
divi-van = police van
sweet = a slang answer for say "that's cool"
Sang-a = sland for a sandwich.
thong = not sexy underwear, but casual summer footwear. It's quite funny, you can buy thongs for young children. In New Zealand they are called "Flip-flops"
a cruise = when you go for a casual drive with other NSX owners
a meet = when you meet up other NSX owners
Autobahn = something we dream of having here in Australia.
klompen = not worn in Australia... thankfully. They look too hard and uncomfortable.
A Barbie = Barbeque... cooking outside on an open oven.
"Drink like a fish" = a funny Aussie expression for somebody who drinks too much alcohol.
Holland = a very cool nation of people who live far far away in Europe. But fortunately many people from Holland live here in Australia and apparently Amsterdam is very similiar to Melbourne!

I hope this has been educational.

Eén van de jongens kwam met het volgende punt:

Ik wil uiteraard geen roet in het eten gooien, maar hebben we er al bij stilgestaan dat komend weekend wel eens heel erg druk zou kunnen worden in de Ardennen ivm. de wielerwedstrijd Luik-Bastenaken-Luik. Ook op zaterdag misschien wel, misschien dat we dan de amateur-versie van L-B-L hebben en misschien zijn er wel wat wegen afgezet (dit weet ik niet zeker) maar wel dat we zondag de prof-wedstrijd hebben.

heeft iemand vandaag toevallig teletekst pagina 105 van RTL 4 gezien? vanaf zaterdag is er groot onderhoud aan de grote ring rond Antwerpen en daar komen we net langs. Er wordt geadviseerd om een andere route te nemen. Iemand suggesties?

Nog iets waar iemand mee kwam...

Je hebt gelijk. Ik heb het ook gezien. We hebben echter geen keus. We ontkomen er niet aan om via Antwerpen te gaan. Ze hebben niet alles afgesloten en het is gelukkig weekend. Gezien het vroege tijdstip hebben we misschien geluk.

Wordt in ieder geval een spannend weekend. Laten we er het beste van maken.

I’ve only been on the ring about 10 times since the works began (so someone from the A’pen area would know better than me), but on a positive note, I remember when they started work on the ring a long time ago, everybody (TV, radio, newspapers…) said it would be a huge disaster, but it turned out to be fine. Beware, they have closed off all the exits on the ring (not just now but since they started work). When you are on the ring you can’t get off (mostly). That’s exactly why it keeps moving, I guess. Not a bad idea.
Someone could go on ahead and GSM if it’s moving or not, maybe 15 minutes ahead. Maybe also with the bicycle races.
I would go for it, it’ll be ok.

Hi Guys and Girls,

Gezien de geringe belangstelling voor de geplande lunch, heeft de organisatie besloten om deze te laten vervallen.

De lunchstop zal nu plaatsvinden in Crupet. De route tot aan de lunchstop is ruim 110 km. Houdt daar rekening mee. We komen daar om ongeveer 13:00 uur aan. Er zijn daar verschillende eetgelegenheden. Iedereen is vrij om te bepalen hoe de lunch genoten wordt. Misschien neem je wat mee van huis.

We hebben een stop van 1 uur geplanned voor de lunch. Laten we zoveel mogelijk ons hier aan houden. Als dit niet lukt, volg je gewoon de roadmap en dan zien we elkaar bij de 2e stop (bij Peter thuis).

Morgen zal een gewijzigde roadmap op de speciale website worden geplaatst.

I'm driving around without an alternator (overhaul) at the moment. so only at the airport up and down. ( a full battery will give you +-3 hrs if you don't use lights, window-heating,....) I hope to install the alternator friday, saturday morning I have an appointment to re-allign the car (rear-suspension was completely removed) I'll check your schedule and maybe try to see you guys somewhere late afternoon. no promisses tho.
btw, no open exhaust, is the taitec JGTC in the 'open' category?

De roadmap van Nivelles naar Spa is iets gewijzigd i.v.m. met een andere lunchstop.

NSX en Type-R Toertocht roadmap

De lunch in Rivière (Les 7 meusses) is komen te vervallen (staat nog wel op de website). Daarvoor in de plaats stoppen we in Crupet.

Even voor de Belgische deelnemers: Wij verzamelen om 08:15 op de parking van Totalfina in Tessenderlo (op de E313 richting Antwerpen).

Gerard & Mich: we rijden de Antwerpse ring op richting Brussel: om 09:15 staan we daar op de parking van het benzinestation Totalfina op de E19 in Kontich, net voor de afrit Rumst. Daar passeren jullie en daar sluiten we ons bij jullie aan. Op deze manier vermijden we een groot stuk van de ring.
Ik stuur deze post ook nog even rond via e-mail.
