RSO 34, you put my name down twice: #29 in the regular list and #14 in the second list.

Should we be booking hotels right now?
I was assuming that we were going to wait....at least until you sent out a list for those of us who are single and may want a roommate to lower our costs.
I remember there will be a section of this journey that includes such a ride, and there was discussion over whether the fastest version of this train will be running for that ride.
For this crowd, of course we all want to ride the fastest version of this train. So will our schedule be less efficient if we arrange to ride that?
I don't think the fastest version of this train has ever crashed. But if it does, it surely will be the most gruesome crash ever.
Hirofumi,
Which train were you thinking about taking to Kyoto? I plan on buying a Japan rail pass and it is not valid on the "NOZOMI" trains on the Tokaido and Sanyo Shinkansen lines. The pass holders must take "HIKARI" or "KODAMA" trains.
I assume I can take these other trains and arrive a little later if you are not going to start sightseeing right away. Do you have a schedule for events in Kyoto yet.
Thanks.
Tom
Let us all take the NOZOMI and get there in 2h20m. I don't care about the cost at all. For this train ride, I'll pay full fare, both ways. If there is a first class for this train, I'll ride first class. Do they put the first class train at the rear?
