In response to a few PMs I have received, let this serve as a further clarification of the List Rules.
We may now bring 70 in total from our side of the pond. The first 55 who RSVPd have rights of first refusal with a waiting list being set up for all others. The first 15 on the "waiting list" have a right of first refusal as well up until the first deadline (not yet established) but will be kept on a separate list just to make it clear who is "on the bubble".
Once anyone in the top 15 of the "waiting list" books a ticket they automatically get bumped up into the the "confirmed list" but their names will remain "in place" on the waiting list with a notation that they have been moved to confirmed. This way those extra 15 slots are readily identifiable later on in case it grows beyond 15. Otherwise, a redaction from the waiting list could lead to a false impression that there may be automatic spots available. This will also preserve the order in which people RSVPd but have not yet booked tickets. For example, number 16 on the waiting list will not be permitted to purchase a ticket and get bumped up to the confirmed list until the first deadline date passes and the person/persons on the bottom indicate they give up their place in line.

Sorry, late to this thread, as I hadn't been following, and hadn't realized that control of the headcount had passed to RSO 34.
NeverHere and myself were very early on the original list I think. We are definitely in for sure, and now we find ourself on a waiting list? Hopefully that won't be an issue. Just added us to the list in the previous post.

I didn't realize "control of the headcount had passed" to me either. After being involved with the planning of last 7 NSXPOs it was becoming obvious to me that interest in Japan was going to be overwhelming Hirofumi fairly quickly (as it did to a certain extent when our numbers were set at 70). I simply started this thread to assist Hirofumi in getting a handle on what would become totally unexpected larger numbers of persons intending upon attending Fiesta.
As I had hoped to make clear in prior posts, the first 15 people on the "wait list" are automatically in once they purchase their plane tickets. I would have expected that anyone who was serious about attending would have checked this thread before now since it has been in existence for 4 and 1/2 weeks. I notice you have posted on Prime on I believe 8 dates since the thread was started so I apologize if you missed it but I thought the title was self-explanatory and would have been obvious to all those interested.
Nevertheless, you are still in the "safe zone" so the four of you will be confirmed once your plane tickets are obtained.

No worries, perhaps just a bit of misunderstanding. I hadn't checked this post, because I've attended 7 Fiestas in the past (including the last 5), and I had always registered directly through Hirofumi. I was a bit caught off guard when he told me that control of the list was being done through you, and saw there was already a waiting list.
Anyway, not a problem, since you say we're in as long as we've got our tickets. Will get that taken care of in the coming days (although it's a bit earlier than we have been used to in the past).

I don't think anyone was able to predict that 70 of us would be making the trip to Japan.
Given the huge interest it made sense to get a handle on it earlier to help Hirofumi get enough notice to figure out what to do with all of us. Plus, many are able to use their frequent traveler rewards to book free flights/hotels and it was necessary to try to lock those rewards in early since often times the airlines/hotels have limited seats/rooms available under those programs.
