Damn your good... Beat me to it. Yes he still owns it. We do all the work on it now. He like I said earlier is not very active on prime any longer. he is to busy putting motors in his P-car :) ( man I hope he reads this):biggrin:

You should create a superstock class for those who like to keep their cars in their original form, such behavior should not be penalized ;).

How do you propose we do such a thing? If the car is stock, then it is stock and they all look the same. We are not going to vote on which is shinier. If it isn't stock, then it just isn't... where do you draw a line and say "this is original form" but add one extra mod and now it isn't? You should enter your car, and let the voters vote on if they like it close to original form or not. I am not disqualifying anyone. Vance (BD) Hu's car is very stock looking type R replica, it was in an F&F movie. Some may like that the best and choose it as the best black. If someone nominates it (even him), then people can vote on it. Just need some pictures. We can't ask people to vote on something they don't know. Not every member here is a long-timer. There aren't that many silverstone entries, why don't you post your best pics?

Ever since my Dad purchased his '90 (JDM) in 1990 and I bought my '98 for almost 10 years, I have always wanted to wildly modify my car to differentiate from others.

Ironic thing is that, all I wanted now is to have it look like stock with subtle mods. I guess taste do change as we age because I find stock form very classy.

Your car looking stock is so not a down factor.

Thanks I feel the same, although I appreciate many types of NSX's.

Thing is that some is personal taste, but we all share some stuff universally. Certain mods when done in combination look good, when on their own they don't. For example an APR GT series wing can look good on a heavily modified widebody that sits low and has big wheels but that same wing on a stock NSX just looks silly. Same part. There is a consensus too that certain cars look good... for example Synth's car almost everyone likes. He has put together a good COMBO of mods. So this little contest, allowing people to vote, makes it very clear that to the MAJORITY of people car A looks better than car B. They are all very good, I always think they pass the best one up in the miss usa contest too, but I do think the top ones are all pretty good. This thread and poll allows for all the nice NSX's to come together.

Some may be upset they don't win, but even just being mentioned means you've done a pretty good job of putting your car together.

Totally agreed.

Key word is "looking" like stock (though not) because attention to details is unmeasurable. While nice, bone stock form lacks surprises.

You have no idea what I have up my sleeve, just wait my friend. :biggrin:

Stock NSX cars, do not nominate.

Best mildly modified NSX list, all OEM - JDM colors included, all body style included (91-05)

Best heavily modified NSX list, all years - no colors, just the best

Best wild/custom/one of a kind NSX list, no colors, just the best


And that is it :)

You are asking for things that are opinion based. Mildly and heavily have a lot of gray in between. What I have now isn't far from what you are saying... I've broken "mildly" into colors, "heavily" is essentialy widebody, and "custom" are one-offs. There is also "track", for cars not street legal.

This was one of my absolute favorite nsx's too, but I couldn't find any photos of it yesterday. Glad you found one... it belongs to "Up2Yu". Very nice guy, and I ended up using his mods as a model for building my own nsx.
