It's virtually impossible to pic the hottest NSX ever. First of all it's not a contest frozen in time. NSX's get sold to new owners. New owners build even better (sometimes worse) examples, etc. Take mine for example.. I'm no where near where I want it to be yet. I've got a garage full of boxes I haven't even opened yet alone installed.

At the risk of losing some clout this should be a monthly award (like many other forums do). You can pick one winner for the year from the 11 monthly winners. C'mon.. am I the only who reads Playboy? We can have the NSX playmate of the year.

1. Keep it to just one monthly winner.
2. Keep it to just one category of best overall for the month.
3. Have an annual contest say.. at Dec where Jan-Nov winners are voted on by the community.
4. Keep it to forum members only. Otherwise, this will get out of control...

I agree, I will do one either annually or bi-analy. I mean... annually. :biggrin: Monthly is crazy. This isn't the civic forums. We don't have enough members and changes. So 2011 is almost over. This is hottest NSX 2011. Did you post more than that one pic of your car from the front yet or do you want to continue being a negative nelly. LOL

This is a cool idea. Why don't we do an "NSX of the month" type contest? Would be engaging to members. You can have a poll, etc. I suppose a new subforum could be created "NSX of the Month" etc.

Hey Dave,

How about a catagory for us daily drivers. We are limited to what mods we can put on, custom front lips/spoilers, diffusers and body kits that will get damaged from drivways, R type hoods due to rain and so on. Our cars still look hot, have other mods and get lots of attention but can't compete with the garage queens that can put any mod on.

Not sure I can do that. I mean how do you seperate DD's from non DD's? just the owner's word? And what would seperate one from the other? What are the "other" mods? We obviously can't have a poll and select a winner from a bunch of stock looking cars, they are all the same! You want a category where people can vote based on something like a stock car with a lip change? or how waxed it is? I mean I hear you, I want everyone to have a shot but you see the dillema. I think it just has to be based on modified cars.

I agree with Turbo Dave. But Dave is the car must be still under current owner who's done all the work and pay for it himself. Not buying a already done car from other member, right?

That's a good point TURBO & Synth. I can see after the 2nd year we'd all run out of cars to feature! I do think the once a year thing is too long though.

In any case, I was just suggesting to help keep it sorta organized but i'll defer to your best judgement. Great momentum so far and nice NSXs on here!

p.s. I really don't have any pics. I only have pics of when other people take them which aren't many. I guess i'll have to bow out of the competition . I'll have more next year hopefully!

EDIT TO ADD: I see this thread having the potential to do "featured" cars like a newsletter. If an owner is willing to write a spread on their vehicle then that can be a feature car worth considering. I'd love to read those!!! It's sorta a mini-build article but a lot less involved.

I agree with Turbo Dave. But Dave is the car must be still under current owner who's done all the work and pay for it himself. Not buying a already done car from other member, right?

No, it doesn't matter who did the mods, I am just saying I want someone that is available to post photos and vote. Not someone who no longer owns the car, or someone who is not even on prime. I don't see a problem posting a car you own that you bought with previous mods at all.

They would to prove they drive at least 10K a year with paperwork from when they have had repairs or maintenance showing the odometer reading. I'm not talking about stock as mine is nowhere near stock but limited from adding some of the nicer mods I stated. And yes I see the dillema but was just seeing if it was possible. Maybe for next year when you have more time to set rules. I will post some pics soon as I need to get some recent shots with my newer mods.

This seems to be getting way out of control. Providing mileage documents to verify and stuff is a bit to much.

As turbo says this is for HOTTEST IN 2011!

You have to look at:

Overall apperance
Modifications
Cleanliness
Owner ( prime member )

A stock car with some wheels and suspension does not seem like it would be the HOTTEST on this forum.

That's right. This is just for fun, although I will gladly accept documents if there are a few freshly minted Bennies in there for me.

You have to be a prime member, provide some decent photos so people can see, and you can talk about your mods if you want, although the nicest "mods" is a different thing, this is based more on cosmetics.

SOS has done some nice NSX's, I don't know where these owners are. Where is that silver/bluish widebody? Or the guy that bought Seth's old car and had it turbo'ed? is he a member?

I was only talking about the daily drivers, not everyone. But as I have told Dave the daily driver catagory can wait till next year or maybe not at all.

The CF widebody owner is a member but not very active as of now. I am sure he will be though.

The Silver blue widebody is a local guy here in Cincinnati. He is a member but not active. He posts a couple times a year.

I want to see this silver/bluish widebody NOW! lol! This is going to be alot of fun. Turbo came up with a great idea. I say do it once a month just like some car mags do. Or you can do a this car vs this car type of thing. I just hope people arent to sensitive about losing the "contest" or whatever you would like to call it. This idea can go many directions. I cant wait to see what happens.

This guy, Dave, has been the fire starter of red hot chilli pepper threads.

While being humble, I honestly think his car should be nominated as well. If I wasn't using an ipad, I would have saved and posted his car's pics for competition.

As for me, I shall post my pics next year when my car is "complete".

Winner or not, Dave, you're the mastermind. Keep it flowing.

Thanks Owen. My car is a little too stock looking right now but I am going to enter next year as I have all sorts of mods ready to go in. So we will battle it out at the next one. Lets pick some winners for this year though... I really am not sure who will win some of the catergories.
