New NSX wide body kit by BRS Tuning

The comptech widebody kit (Also fibreglass) adds almost 300 lbs so I was just wondering.
It’s heavier, but not 300 lbs. heavier. The FAQ mentions 65 lbs. more than stock. The weight mentioned in this post more or less agrees with the 65 lbs. figure.

The wide body kit is actually lighter than the stock aluminum body panels. I do not know the exact weight that you will be saving if you have this kit installed but it will be lighter.
The aluminum panels that would be replaced are the front and rear quarter panels, which weigh under 5 and 8 lbs. each, respectively. You are saying the panels in this kit weigh less?

Sorry, but I find that impossible. Unless dry CF is used it will always be heavier than Al. HLFRF is the strongest, yet heaviest medium for aftermarket body panels. I'm betting this car is still a good 50lb heavier than stock. That isn't stopping me from getting it however.

Sorry, my mistake. I looked around after and found that the Comptech NSX weighed in at 3185 lbs...but that's including all the other add-ons as well.

Peter,

This is what I was told from BRS Tuning. I will ask if BRS can tell me the exact weight difference and I will post it asap.

BRS Tuning is going to have the exact weight difference for the wide body kit and the stock panels by Thursday-Friday. Any other questions please let me know.

Thank you,

I'd like to see it on a car with a regular paint job and no stickers...it's tough to see all the lines.

Satan_SRV,

I should have this full kit on my car soon and I'll post up pictures of it.

Is the kit includes all the brakets (Plug&Play) ?
Any pics of the rear diffusor ?
Installation inhouse or you can ship out ?

Son,
Something doesn't look right. I like the widebody type....but this one is kind of odd. More like a boat...I don't know. I don't have a real word for it....but I am seeing something odd about this that I can't describe. It just doesn't flow with the rest of the line. Anywho, it is only my thought. :)

yes if you go to my picture gallery you can see the rear diffuser on the candy orange nsx. this kit does not include brackets or any other type of bolts this kit uses the original bolts from the nsx. yes; this kit can be shipped out no problem.

from what i've seen so far the kit fits good there is two nsx that currently have this kit on there car which is the candy orange and another red nsx (not mine) and both nsx has very good fitment. if you have any other questions please let me know.

thank you,

son

Son, what's with the stock exhaust and wheels? I thought you were using Taitecs center exit.

Josh,

 LOL ... The Taitec will not fit unless I modify the rear diffuser. I will be doing that when I take it for paint in a few weeks. Josh your kit is leaving out today or tomarrow just need to pack it up and ship it. When you get this message contact me Josh.

Thanks,

Son
