Update
Ok so I took my own advice and upgraded to ¼ Lexan stock. It is much stiffer and has a deeper tint. One thing I learned is that is your felt is damaged you can take a wire brush and one of the pieces you have cut out and scrub off a pile of fibers, then spread them around by hand and apply your paint and it look like new. Works great!
