Michigan check-in & spotting by blodi pt.2

Hello Michigan NSX owners, I am a new owner in the Rochester area. Just bought a 1991 Belina Black and Ivory from Texas. Have a lot of questions I woul dlike to discuss with local owners. Do you guys meet up at all on a monthly basis?

Ryan

Welcome Ryan !!! You are in an AWESOME area for NSX ownership, as there are quite a few NSX's on the east side in your vicinity. I'm sure they will all be chiming in soon to welcome you with open arms. Looking foward to meeting you soon ;) ;)

Welcome and Congrats! Stay tuned to this thread on our random meet ups. Neal will make sure you get on the email list I'm sure and notify you of our different drives and meet-ups as well. The most regular meet-up is at CJ's Brewery every Wednesday starting at 4-5ish. Admittedly, I only get there once a month or two. But there is a core group that is there religiously (you know who you are :) )

Welcome...let me know if you venture to the west side

I know Brian Urlage posted this in a separate thread but most of us Michigan peeps like to squat on this thread and go nowhere.

Ivette and I can leave west Michigan whenever. We figured we would head east and meet up with the rest of the Michigan group with hopes to head south and intersect a group coming from further west.

Oh man that's all we need, another Ryan!

J/K ;-P

Welcome, and like the other Ryan said the only regular scheduled meeting is our Wednesdays at CJ's in Plymouth.
They have very good food (and drink- until 7pm) specials so it's just evolved over the years as a touchstone for us NSX (and other) like-minded car folks.

There is a European Car Show for Charity on Sunday 9/8 from 9-4. It is a fund raiser for Charity. Any interested in attending? Liz and I are planning on attending and showing. It is at Vin Devers in Sylvania (Toledo).

Hello Ryan! Welcome, and congratulations on your Berlina. We hope to meet you and see it soon.

I have a flyer on this show (from the last Toledo Cars-n-Coffee) if anyone needs details. I'm open to showing there. It looks like it is Race 5 weekend at Waterford Hills so I'd be solo.

Bakers this Sunday sounds like a winner - let's see if any others will join in

Baker's on Sunday... I'm in! I would also be interested in details about the 9/8 charity event...

Rammer - would enjoy seeing your new '99 red (NFR?) Sunday at Bakers. If I wasn't so lazy I'd scan the flyer for the 4th annual:

On another note, new Berlina '91 NSX owner Ryan up there in Rochester, MI, please note and B.O.L. this red '91 NSX. Former owner Brian Urlage (SOURCENSX in Cincinnati, OH) is looking to possibly buy it back:

thx Neal! Looking forward to coming back home tomorrow. Hope your trip went well!

Just wanted to share our experience in flying in the "Yankee Lady" B-17 yesterday.

Amazing time, if you get the chance then by all means go experience it for yourself!

Hey LOOK!

That cool lady is machine-gunning Michigan Stadium

LJZ here -- had to re-up on Prime under new handle. I'm around on Sunday -- Neal/Patrick, what time are you going to target arrival at Bakers?

Best,
Jeff

Well, I don't know......... BAVARIA the one-post wonder new NSXPrime member  didja go out and buy a BMW Z8? ? ? M-1 ? ? ? Those would impress. Lose your password when hitting that Trawnna (ONT) boardroom, Solicitor?

With an eye on the weather (looks like 30-50% chance of T-storms in afternoon hours Sat and Sun) thinking 4pm Bakers 'cause at noon, live on ABC, is ALMS race at streets of Balto.

Neal, I'm even more impressed with you that you made the connection from Bavaria to BMW. I talked my dad into buying a Bavaria (e3 for the Bimmerphiles) when I was 16 or so and we lived in Toronto. What a fantastic car that was when compared to the run of the mill full size Chevys/Fords, etc. First drive was a relevation -- also got a ticket for doing 90 mph in a 70 zone on the 401. Funny thing is that I drove one about 1 year ago(was not well sorted however) it proved the point that some things are best left as fond memories. Cars are so much better now than 40 years ago. No sir, nothing new in my garage. Very happy with my current fleet. And yes, I did manage to misplace the password!

Patrick congrats!

Brian/Judi -- fantastic shots in the air -- what great fun.

If no rain, I'll target a 4PM arrival @ Bakers Sunday.

Just saw these posts. Shoot... Left baker's at 4 as I didn't see anyone.

Sorry Rammer, got there ~ 415 PM, attendance was somewhat sparse. I think sca037 and nsxgal just arrived, too....
And the clouds/weather sure didn't look promising. LJZ (whoops, BAVARIA) was there, tucked way around back. Yea, we talked about you

 Hope you and A M had a storybook vacation to Italy.

Since the purple car is stuck on the lift (still waiting to get the engine back), I decided to experiment with some black aerosol Plasti-Dip.
I cleaned then multi-coated all 4 fenderwells, and they came out looking great. I then coated the exposed part of the fuel tank as well.
Since the front fenders are Cantrell Concepts 30mm wider units there were no liners present, so I fabbed up some partial aluminum ones that will at least help keep the door jamb areas cleaner from now on.
