Patrick you do realize that those are for running over folks that drive Japanese cars, especially low to the ground red ones.............LOL.

I once had a dude in a built GMC pickup truck chase me along 696 East from I-94 on my way back from Toronto in the NSX. He wasn't interested in a friendly look. Not sure if he was drunk or just angry.

Best,
Jeff

This thing was off-the-hook high. The tires were 6 feet high. 4 wheel steering. Loud, slow. Needed traffic stopped to merge. Every time he hit the gas, the dang thing rocked and tipped. I kept my distance!

I've heard of 80's sedans with ginormous wheels referred to as 'donks', I submit that these extreme versions be dubbed as re-donks (as in re-donk-u-lous ;-)

Is anybody going to be at M1 Concourse Cars and Cofffee on Saturday the 30th. I will be bringing my NSX up.

It's a busy weekend, with the HONDA Indy 200 and related races at Mid-Ohio this upcoming Sat and Sun. Dunno whether I am N or S bound!?!
DO know it has been hot and dry enough. Keeping our NSX's mileage down this summer.

It's also the Vintage Races at Waterford Hills, as well as the Concours in Plymouth at St. John's (with the Italian Happening bolted onto the Concours on Saturday)......so many XLNT choices of places to be next weekend!

We'll be at Waterford Hills on Friday and Sunday, and St. John's on Saturday ;^D

It's truly wonderful to be in MI in the Summertime!!!

Patrick,

I saw you driving southbound on Telegraph Saturday night, I was parked at Bangkok 96 after 1 lap. I almost got hit by a drunk driver on telegraph the night before, I don't think I've ever been that angry and frightened before. Be careful out there

Has, yep, the Telegraph Cruise gets worse and worse every year. Arrests, accidents, and the general goofy crowd. Lower traffic this year, and a ton more police presence.

I'll be at St. John's Saturday for cars and coffee, and probably back for Italian Happening. Sunday early of course too.

... NSX get-together and drive plans for Saturday, August 6th (likely meet around 2 PM and take a 1-2 hour drive, ending up at CJ's Plymouth Township) are being worked on, and rainout date of Sunday, August 21st still in effect. More on that upcoming.

Daughter moving on the 6th. Hope to attend, pending on how early my flight come in from the east coast Friday night.

Is it possible to invite a friend to the event? He's a big NSX fan, he'll be coming in a GT4. It's understandable if it's Nsx only.

- - - Updated - - -

I had the pleasure of driving his GT4, what an awesome car! Then couple of bullies showed up

PJR - hope you can make it!

Hass - yes, no problem, GT4 welcome. Just "sign him up" on the attendance listing, please.

Blodi - I'll be looking for your Datsun this evening. Hope the weather holds.

As it was spitting/sprinkling, and raining out this a-way around 6 PM today (Friday 7-29) I wondered........ will it be good?
The free/sponsored car show on St. John's property and parking lots 6p-10p, as a part of the Concours at St. John's in Plymouth Twp, MI.
Well, worth it for certain! No more rain after about 6:45 P.M.

Plenty of Porshkee's, Vettes, Mustangs. All wonderful to see. An F40, P930, PGT2RS, GT3, GT4S. Many Merz.

Saw Wes (Original Cobra?), Johnny the M (Pantera - red), and Blodi's 240Z (NO Blodi - must have been ????? um, m.i.a.). Left at 8:00 P.M.

pjr - Nice photos of the Ford GT! In your photo #3 , parked beside the Alfa, a white LFA - we saw it NB on Sheldon Road as we left. Looked awesome!!

Torrential rains and T-storms here now so I have to believe the Concours is pretty subdued at this time.

Yep... Dry summer... And today it rains.

Awesome pics Patrick, I have never seen the F40 F50 or Enzo in person.

Heres a screen shot from a video of the new NSX at Farmington Hills, something else in the background caught my eye.

Haas, the new NSX you saw was undergoing a slight refresh at the hands of our local NSX master tech. I am told that this car has been making the rounds to the various car magazines for testing. I was able to spend a bit of time up close and personal last night and it is an amazing piece of machinery. Those rotors which must be 15+ inches in diameter weigh next to nothing -- ceramic/carbon fiber or some other exotic material. Of course a brake job is stratospherically expensive. Love my /94 but the new one is truly an exotic notwithstanding anything that the dyed in the wool P-car, F-car, etc. folks might say. I think that the white one is an automatic (could be mistaken) and although low miles didn't look all that minty to me.

I'm going to be over on Woodward tonight between 7:30 and 9:00 taking in the scene. I don't much care for the cruise itself -- too hot, smelly and no way I would drive my NSX in that kind of traffic but the scene a couple of weeks before the cruise itself is worth taking in. If any of our NSX (or other marque) compadres are on WW tonight and want to connect, shoot me a text or call 248 568-7617.

Best,
Jeff

pjr - incredible Saleen S7 - never seen one in that color and it sure looks clean.

I'd like to hit Baker's this afternoon, however the weather may not cooperate. Showers and possible T-storms again today :frown:

If showers move in I'll sit back and watch the Honda Indy 200 from Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course (2:30 P.M. on CNBC) where significant other
is flagging. Simon Pagenauld earned pole position covering 2.2x mile course in under 64 seconds (believe that's a new track record; average speed 127 mph  ).

Beautiful day today!
