Michigan check-in & spotting by blodi pt.2

Simply some commentary here.

I went into Ohio today. Took on 6 gallons of fuel in my DD Accord at $1.97 per. Now exactly why is regular unleaded in SE Michigan priced at $2.499 ?? (for Accord, and if for NSX premium boosted by sixty + cents per gallon  ) and $1.97 in the Buckeye?

Anyone going S into Ohio this summer be prepared for sixty miles of I-475/I-280/I-75 destruction on SB and NB lanes from state line until south of Perrysburg and Findlay, OH. :frown:

August 6th, Saturday, NSX MI GTG place on your calendar for ~ 1 PM (?). Rain-out date Sunday 8-21.

Ryan and Haas I know what I'm going to give you guys at holiday time -- a calendar!

Neal, as the resident Canadian of the MI NSX contingent, I must confess I have a fondness for the Buckeye State, especially their roads and gas prices. Why is it that northern OH has pretty much same weather as MI yet their roads are not crap like ours? And indeed, the price of gas in OH vs. MI -- its not like the higher price here in MI goes to road maintenance. The Motor City..........yeah, my *ss. Our road conditions have kept the miles down on my NSX for sure.

Best,
Jeff

Fo'sure  Our highways are in terrible condition and what is more depressing is..............if, in our wildest dreams, all road funding was in place, can you even imagine the 5-8 years of road-repair and road-construction h*ll we would endure? Makes me want to move.

Anyway, we had 17 in attendance tonight at the CJ's intel meet - we'll have to get you out of your office early some Wednesday afternoon to see us !

We tend to stay close to home during the three summer Holidays. Anyone have ideas for Sat-Sun-Mon?

Brian, I still need to see the purple car. I hear the beast lives, but that could be just urban legend.

I guess BOTH things are true, it's very much alive and the engine is fully broken in, but needs a fresh mapping and tune before full power can be achieved.

Nsx Spotted!!!!

Ford road and beech Daly! I yelled at my wife with excitement..NSX NSX! Red/black with 7 spoke oem wheels. I usually take my daily driver on beech Daly but not with the Nsx, most pathetic stretch of road in Dearborn heights.

Just met a guy one block from me who has a Scuderia, Superleggera, and a supercharged ZR1.

^^^I was thinking about it. I tried last time but could not even get in the joint.

Have not heard from Death Race Squadron Leader Neal. May be on another mission.

I may try M1 tomorrow. Went up there for the RibFest last weekend.

Patrick, thanks for the photos!

We were at GingerMan Raceway helping a friend run his Prototype 2 Class road racer at their SCCA Majors event.
Two days, two podium finishes................we're well pleased with that outcome!!!

July 30, seminars sponsored by Haggerty Insurance.

Even more on the 30th includes "Italian Happening " at which over 150 Fiats are expected... Plus other brands of course.

All these events are free. Many more activities underway, including special tours, dinners, the RM auction, and the show itself.

Wow bmac, nice score!

The Vinsetta Garage has XLNT food & drinks, and is run by the same fine folks who run the Clarkston Union.

Thanks for spreading the word on Neal's August NSX (and friends) GTG ;^D

Catch up

Been up in Northern Ontario on a fly-in fishing trip for walleye - missed Toledo CnC, Rolling Sculpture Show, etc. Thanks for all the photos you all put up!

NSX get-together and drive plans for Saturday, August 6th (likely meet around 2 PM and take a 1-2 hour drive, ending up at CJ's Plymouth Township) are being worked on, and rainout date of Sunday, August 21st still in effect. More on that upcoming.

Meanwhile, have to wish the old goat Ryan (Blodi) a HAPPY Birthday  Dude, you're getting OLD

Thanks Neal! Time flies when you're having fun.

Managed to hit Bakers with the NSX yesterday for a while. Nice turnout there. Also hit CnC on Woodward Saturday with the Z. Good stuff all around. Looking forward to the 6th!

Hey Birthday Boy, we still need to make a little time to get one final map on the purple car before Neal's drive!

Plus, until then I'm holding the 240Z Service Manual as hostage ;^D
