Just wondering what the longest amount of time is you have gone without driving your NSX? I am guessing most people don't take it out of the garage for the whole winter?

I drove mine yesterday for the first time in nearly 3 weeks and the feeling was amazing. Had a nice guy evening - drove the NSX to the shooting range, popped off 150 rounds with my new Glock and drove home.

3 weeks nearly killed me - can't believe I am considering selling...

I went 5-6 months last winter while it was up on stands and keeping out of the snow. Michigan winters suck.
But it did make it that much better when I did get to drive it finally again in the spring.

Going on two years.:frown:

Which range? I try and get out to the Tulsa Firearms range several times a month.

For those who don't live in the Sunbelt, at least, it's a good guess.

Mine usually sits for around six months a year, right after NSXPO in October until its first track event in the spring, usually April. I haven't really kept track but there may have been some years in which it sat for as many as eight months rather than six.

2.5 weeks while I did some mods and buffed it. Seemed like a long time to me.

How do you guys do it?? I haven't driven my car for a week now and while pulling out the driveway today, looking at the back of the NSX as I slowly rolled down the driveway....I changed my mind. Jumped in the NSX and off to work. When I got here, one of my co-workers caught me looking out the window at my car as I was walking upstairs and laughed at me!

I couldn't drive my NSX to work....I would have a hard time asking for a raise after that.

4 mos for the winter.

The last 2 1/2 weeks have been worse than the 4 mos., because it's the middle of summer....grrrrrrr

Getting the car back on Wed. from the shop. I'm dying without her. Driving the KIA rental car doesn't help:tongue:

Yes, Tulsa Firearms. We should have a shooting day there. I go about once every 2 weeks. I would actually be there every night if it wasn't so expensive! What model gun do you shoot?

Yes, my boss is a car fanatic like me but I still haven't told him about it. He will think I make too much money - when in essence I don't make enough

3-4 months. Car was VERY  dirty and didnt start when I came back from vacation lol. But instead of washing her first I took her for a drive after the jump start.

I think you may want to rephrase the question to what the longest amount of time that you have gone without driving your NSX with weather permitting when the NSX is in drivable condition?

Weather nobody can do anything about. When someone is modifying their NSX, it can be down for months. (just ask comtec)

To answer your original question: 4 weeks, and its was like honeymoon agian when I got back into the driver's seat.

My boss owns several heavily modified twin turbo 1000+ hp Viper's, a Bently GT coupe, a Phaeton, a Navigator, a limo, and various other cars! I will have no problem asking for a raise!

Hi

I parked my NSX the same weekend I got the new rims last year. About October and it started to snow. I did not drive that much last year as I did not buy tires for the OEM rims.

Then I was planning to get it out after easter in april, but I had a accident with a snowmobile and is still out so the NSX is still sitting in the garage.

I have had it out on the new rims with my Father and a good friend as a driver, but I think it will be another month before I can drive it and my eyesight is good enough.

I am not taking one of about 7400 cars in the world for a spin and not have my eyesight good enough.

It does motivate me to know that I have this car and most of the world does not

Edit: Damn that will be ten months or more..

Regards

I think my longest drought came a year ago...two-and-a-half months between when I moved out of my old townhouse and finished the garage phase of our remodel at the new place. The toughest thing was not even being able to look at my NSX during those days...thanks to ANYTIME, it had a safe (and relatively dust free) place to stay. :D

I also didn't see a single NSX during my December 2005 trip to Vietnam and Japan. Wow...if I start counting from December 2005, I was without my NSX for nearly one quarter of the year!

Fortunately, I broke the drought in November 2006 with my first trip to Streets of Willow. This summer, I've practically been driving her daily...guess I'm making up for lost time.
