Can this thread be made a sticky? :D

Hi All,

So far not many people are interest in Dinner party, but I would still like to keep the option open for you all.

Let's make the cut-off date 11/29, that would give me 2 weeks to get everything set.

Thanks

It may be easier to get a buy-in from people if they know what the restaurant is or the type of food. Just a suggestion.

Well it all depand on how many people want to go. Less than 20 than I would suggest Tokyo Tokyo, great Japanese food just off the 15fwy and 4th St exit.

As for steak lovers, I would suggest Bobby Bajas, great flame steak and shrimp.

Both places has great food, but parking need some help.

If we have a large group, than I would suggest we go near the Ontario Mall, where most of the franchised restuarants are at, plenty of parking.

Anyways, I'm open for suggestions. Please remember, this is Sat. night event, so I will need plenty of time to confirm reservation with the restuarant.

Well, we might want to pick something that appeals to the most people. Steaks and seafood are a good bet. Many more eclectic ethnic foods may not be; you may love Japanese and I may love Thai food, but not everyone does.

So Bobby Baha might be a good choice. Or one of the places in or near the mall, which ought to have plenty of NSX-friendly parking. (I see on the mall's website that Market Broiler offers "Banquet room for arrangements for up to 50 guests", so if the size of our group grows and the banquet room isn't booked, they could move us in there.) Rosa's might be another option; everyone loves Italian, they have private rooms that seat 12 to 135 people, and I've heard great things about it. Or one of the upscale franchise places. Seems like there are a lot of good places in the area that would appeal to everyone.

Well,
I'm new to this forum, and a very new NSX owner. However, my 2 cents is that it would be fitting to have Japanese food for dinner since we are driving NSX's to the JGTC...

Can't find time to attend JGTC event, but I should be able to free some time for dinner :D
I suppose this restaurant will be around OC area?

Buddy,
You need to close the shop down for one in a life time race...and dinner will be somewhere close to the track. AHEM AHEM....HOOOTERS!!!!

As PoohBEAR notes, we'll choose a place somewhere close to the track. The track is on the west side of Fontana, just east of Ontario, near the intersection of the 10 and the 15.

Ok Guys,

Bobbi Baha has a section can seat 50 next to the bar. There are about 40+ parking space up front and more in the back, but they can not reserve parking spaces.

Their contact information is as follow.

Bobby Bajas Mesquite Grill
909-989-9925
8916 Foothill Blvd., K1
Rancho Cucamonga, Ca 91730

Looking at the event schedule, the last race ends at 7PM, but the podium ends at 8PM. What time do you all think we want to leave the race track. I need to give them a time we want to show up.

I don't know. Is traffic a consideration? Meaning, does everyone try to leave the track at the same time, at the end of the last race, so it takes forever just to leave the parking lot? Or is it like at Dodger Stadium, where everyone leaves after the fifth inning to beat the rush? :D

Well, according to Map Quest, from Califorinia Speedway to Bobby Bahas is only 8.5miles, very easy to get to, just go North on Cherry and turn left on Foothill. Normally should be a 15 min drive on local road, but due to the race events. I would say double that.

So, let's decide if we are staying till the end or leave right after the last race.

I personally have not been to any event in California Speedway, therefore, I do not know what it would be like at the end of the day.

Open for suggestions

come on James, add my name to the damn list
unfortunately make that two, no Hooter fun :frown:

Got you Mike.

Hey guys, we still need to decide on a time for dinner, let's take a vote.

7:30PM
8:30PM

Please reply here.

Thanks

James Lee
