JGTC Event at Cal. Speedway NSXCA Christmas Party? Dec 18-19

Steve, I'm sure you'll figure out a way to get all 100 NSX's on the track for the "Fan Lap" and still have us all park together  ....

we're counting on YOU!!!

Is it too late for a last minute entry to sign up for the club event?

If I cannot sign up with the club what is the alternative? What do I have to do to hang out with club if I am not able to park with you guys?

Thanks.
Sandy

I'll be at Factor X the week before JGTC and hope to have my custom twin turbo FX500 done on Friday the 17th. I just heard about the JGTC and would like to drive there from Vegas Friday PM if my car is done. How can I get club tickets for JGTC? I tried the JGTC-USA site and couldn't find club member registration.

I'd love to join you guys and hopefully show off the newest Factor X car (mine).
Any help with directing me to proper registration would be greatly appreciated!

Aloha,
Steve

I believe that they have closed all Club Pass registrations as of 11/30. I think that at this point, you may have to look to see if anyone decides to sell the tickets that they've purchased.

Definely IN for Fan Lap. You da man Steve!

I read on the web-site about GT Demo Runs. How do we get in the lottery for this event? Anyone?

Good News & Bad News!

Hello Everyone!

Well I just got off the phone with the JGTC event organizers, and I have Good News  and Bad News :frown:

The Good News

THE WHOLE GROUP IS IN FOR THE FAN LAP!!!  and WE WILL ALL BE PARKING TOGETHER IN THE TRACK INFIELD!!!

I also must tell you that the Fan Lap MAY not happen anyway because the organizers are fighting with the Insurance people to conduct the Fan Lap  They are still working it and they are still optimistic but I just want you all to be aware... Either way though WE WILL ALL BE PARKING TOGETHER!!!

For those of you that have wondered or asked YES you will be able to leave early even if we are in the infield!

More Good News: I have the event admission tickets and will be sending them out to everyone ASAP!

Now for the Bad News :frown:

I will not be receiving the Car Club Parking Passes until Monday or maybe later!

That means that I will NOT be sending the parking passes out with the event admission tickets!

I am going to keep the Parking passes and personally pass them out by any of four ways.

1. You can come to my house in Seal Beach and pick up the passes after I get them (this is not good for all the non local people)

2. I will be in the lobby of the Fairfield Inn in Ontario from 7:00pm to 11:00 on Friday night 12/17/04

3. I or some other Club member will be at the entrance to the Infield Parking on Saturday morning from 7:00am until 10:00am

4. If you can't get the tickets any other way you can just park in the general parking and use your admission ticket to get into the event. Then just find the NSX club parking area and we will be able to give you your pass. You then can go out and get your car to join us!

These are the best solutions I can come up with to try to handle a BAD  situation!!! If anyone has any other suggestions or would like to volunteer to help with these options, please e-mail me directly.

Again I find myself apologizing for the organization of this event

I will try to do what it takes for us to have a great time in spite of all these challenges!

Thanks for your understanding

Steve, on behalf of all the NSXCA members, especially the SoCal members we thank you for all your efforts, especially dealing with the "organized" group putting this together.

Steve,

The "goodness" of the good news far outweighs the "badness" of the bad news!!! Sweet, 80 - 100 NSXs on a parade lap. Now, that's gonna be some serious media coverage. (Hopefully, the JGTC organizers are able to work it out.)

At the same time, the "bad" news isn't that bad for me. I'll be seeing you at the Fairfield Inn. :D

Once again, thanks so much!!!

-Randy

Please Let Me Know If You Are Traiding Tickets

Hey Everyone:

I saw some discussion on another thread about people giving their tickets to other people.

Please be carefull, the Admission tickets are seperate from the Club Parking passes. So if you got one Club pass and one guest pass and you plan to give your guest pass away that will NOT get the other person into the Car Club Corrall!

Also, If you do plan to give a Car Club Parking pass to someone else I NEED TO KNOW as I am keeping the Master list to pass out the Parking passes. I WILL NOT give a parking pass to someone who says "so and so said I can use his pass!" I am doing this for your protection!!!

It is more work for me but I don't want any problems at the event!

Thanks

OK, for those that are going to caravan from OC on Sat morning, I can go to Steve's home, when the passes are available, and pick up the parking passes for all the OC caravaners.

Drop me a PM if you want me to pick up your parking pass. I'll start a list. I'll distribute the passes at the meeting place (Target) in the morning. That way we can ride into the infield in style.

hey guys,
I'm flying over from Boston to check out this event. Sounds like it's gonna be a great time. Can't wait to see all your cars, to bad I can't bring my car out. In terms of hotels are there places where a lot of you are staying or are most of you going to commute from home to the event?

Don't forget that there are NSXCA shirts for those who signed up before the deadline.

I'm still working the details out with Ca AGNSX on how to get them to everyone. But I have a feeling it will be easiest to pass them out in the infield group parking area since that's where everyone will be.

Also have nametags and lanyards for everyone so you can finally put a face with a name.

Look for t-med and myself, we'll be the guys with 187 lanyards and 2/3 of the shirts.

Weather for Saturday and Sunday should be in the high 60s with an overnight low of 44. There is a 10% possibility of precipitation.

nsxtasy said:
The National Weather Service forecast for Fontana sounds slightly warmer than that; it says 69 to 75 on Saturday, and 70 to 76 on Sunday. Lows 33 to 43. Mostly sunny both days.

Whereas Intellicast agrees with you, predicting sunny highs of 65 and 67 and lows of 41.
When it comes to weather and "weather forecasts" always plan for the worst and you'll be prepared. You can always take clothes off, but you can't put clothes on you didn't bring!!

Re: Good News & Bad News!

Steve,

Excellent news!!! And I too received my tickets...great job getting this together.

As for the bad stuff, I'll see you in the lobby of the Fairfield Inn sometime Friday night :D
