Will do! Which LED design would you like and what year style taillights do you have?

uh oh....time for the claws to come out.

I dunno, Erick did just roll eyes. A smilie would have made it less ambiguous though.

They have actually done a fine job of playing nice so far. Anything else would be a disappointment among Primers.

My personal Prime experience with Erick was a pleasant one, BTW.

For anyone that still wants DIY LED taillight kit instructions, please send me a PM with your email and I will send them right out.

Update - project complete. Took me about 2 weeks to do the install but of course, I only spent a little bit of time on it when I had time free. A good portion of the time is waiting for various glues/epoxy, etc. to dry before advancing to the next step.

I plan to take some hi-res photos soon and update with pics. :) Doing this mod and replacing the OEM spoiler with the NSX-R type spoiler made a HUGE difference.

Do you make them to order? I would rather have the LEDs look Red instead of the Yellow/White. Could I achieve the look I want with using red LEDs instead of the clear and get the same light output? I don't want them to be blinding just brighter then they are now. The Yellow/White light looks aftermarket to me. Im going more for a factory look something Honda would have designed themselves. What about replacement LEDs? If one goes out how hard is it removing the lens after the OEM seal is broken. Do you offer techniques on how to remove/reinstall the lens. I cleared out my center taillight and it was very hard to get apart. Im concerned that I will brake the lens and be screwed.

The LED's are red. Detailed instructions come with the kit on how to do the install (removing lens, etc).

As promised, here's a shot of mine I just took:

Thats very nice. I am having a real hard time deciding between the GTC and 3-bar.

To me, the 3-bar is cleaner and better flows with the timeless design of the car. At some point, the "GTC" style will be considered dated IMO.

whats the eta for shipment?

man, your stuff looks awesome. can't wait to start on the project.

i know u are crazy busy with all the requests. but u have an estimated time of arrival or shipment date?

Put me on the 3bar style:cool:

You've couple only a couple more weeks, maybe 2-3.

I just finished installing my new GTC LED setup from Chris on my 02 tails. Thought I would give some tips and my impression (Forgive me if this info is redundant as I have not read ALL of the many posts). Have to say, I was VERY impressed with the quality of the soldering/circuit board cut out.

Tip #1: Get a HUGE pot so half the taillight can be submerged. I used a semi commercial grade steamer to help remove the glue from the channels.
Tip #2: For my 8 year old tails, the OEM gaskets were still fine
Tip #3: Buy GE Silicone I (not II) but be SURE to check the "Use by" date. Otherwise, it won't cure.
Tip #4: Epoxy is applied to the LED side edges of the panel (it won't show through the lens once assembled). The blinkers of the 02 tails get the epoxy on the circuit board side. I bought this epoxy (& silicone I) from Home Depot

Here are some pics of the parking/reverse/blinker lights. Will edit the post later to add the brake light pic...I messed with the settings and they didn't come out.

As others have stated, this is a VERY laborious job. Took a long time to clean out the glue from the channels. I wouldn't do it myself for less than $500...PM me if you want me to do yours.

Tip #5: The idiot brake warning light was on (I have a 92 w/02 tails). I simply tapped into the white wire w/ green stripe on passenger side and grounded it to one of the 8mm nuts that hold the taillight. Thanks Chris/Hugh for the post/advice. The idiot light went out...hoo hoo!
As others have stated, the end result was worth all the effort. The pictures don't do it justice. It matches the OEM 3rd brake light as well (these are the RED LEDs). As for brightness, I was initially concerned it was going to be TOO bright. It's bright, but IMO, not annoying bright. Thank you Chris for making a fine product!!!

Just want to add incase some European car owners are thinking of this setup, I've done the install on my euro car, it demands some small modifications, but it works perfectly (euro cars dont have two reverse lights).

Let me know if you got any questions.
