Cool. More photos please. Lots o' them. Welds inside and out, materials, all the goodies layed out, the whole enchilada would be awesome. Thanks.

I can't wait to see it up and running. Any additional pictures / videos would be great!

Was your car allready running the AEM for the GruppeM setup?

He already has it badged as a Turbo (right side under the lights)!

The badge is from an RDX

Was your car allready running the AEM for the GruppeM setup?

It was running the Gruppe M EPROM in the factory ECU, and Gruppe M piggy back computers; AEM comes with the HP turbo kit.

is that a new crank pully? why that?

It doesn't come with the kit, I purchased the lightweight pullies from gtrom, included is the crank and alternator pullies. The Gruppe M supercharger that was removed replaced the pullies with wider ones, to facilitate the larger belt - the HP performance kit uses stock, or stock-sized, pullies.

The injectors are in, and we are just waiting on the last few parts from HP - there was a delay on the AEM, but they have offered to overnight the EMS once they get it, this Friday.

Dynos, Pictures, Videos, etc. pending parts and tuning

were the gtrom pullies harmonic ?

Hey John! Maybe I missed something but the last I heard you just installed a Gruppe M supercharger. What’s the reason for going turbo now?

How complete is the kit?

Is every thing included that is needed?

What turbo did you go with and why?

Is the install strait forward or fairly difficult?

Are HPs directions any good or is it self-explanatory?

Any permanent modifications needed to fit the kit?

Will this fit under the OEM engine cover?

How are the welds and joints, dose every thing line up as it shod? Fit & Finish good bad expectable?

Is your engine built for boost or stock?

Please post some more picks I’m very interested in this kit and would like to get some more info in it?

Thanks,
Charles

+1
I have been saving my change for a turbo. I'm at 11k towords a lov... turbo for 18-20k. If this is can be had, complete, I may just pull the plug and call HP. Again, does this "kit" come with all needed hardware for a clean install?

Not trying to Hijack your thread scorp, but I can give you my experience with the kit.

1. You will need some little nic nacs like connectors for the hose, one connection where the pipe from the intercooler goes to the turbo you will need as well.

2. I got the 67mm turbo with the 750cc injectors. Why? it came with the kit at the time.

3. The install is complicated. This will sorta answer No.4 as well. The directions aren't the greatest, its a little vague. They tell you that the water pump is floating around in the trunk (in the directions). And the fan has to be located in your left inner fender wall. There will be banging and bending trying to get in in there safe.

5. The engine cover will fit if you relocate the arm that holds it up. I got a bigger blow off valveso it kinda touches the sngine cover. For better air flow I removed my engine cover.

6. Everything lines up well, the finish is not the greatest, I had to get the intercooler powdercoated because it was the worst of the bunch.

7. My motor is stock.

Sorry again scorp, just my encounter with the kit.....

The kit itself seems to be a quality one, I had wanted to finish the installation, and have the car tuned and running, prior to posting my impressions of this setup.

The main components, the piping, etc. seem to fit as they are supposed to, there were some missing parts, but HP has been very responsive to my requests for these missing components. The shop doing the installation got to the above point in a day, this included the removal of my gruppe M supercharger - since this point the car hasn't really changed, as we're waiting on the missing parts to finish the install - if everything were in the box the kit could have easily been installed in under two days time.

scorp965, Can you post some pics of the water IC system, pump, lines, and reservoir? Are you locating the water reservoir and pump in the spear tire location?

I've heard some concerns about the type of metal used for the piping (not the best for a turbo setup). Any word on this?

What's the concern? It's mild steel and all sent to Jet-Hot before delivery with the lifetime Warranty from Jet-Hot for any rust.

If you're thinking about cracks. I've seen more SS tubular turbo manifolds crack than steel but I think it's more the added weight of the turbo than the metal. So you might consider the turbo placement or a reinforcement bracket.

Hope this helps, Jeff

Well, firstly your car looks awesome!!!

Secondly, I really like the HP kit. probably because it is similar to what I am building  . In fact, if i couldn't make it myself I would buy the HP.

One question i don't think has been answered... Will the kit work with any exhaust system or are there only a few that work? Does it have its own exhaust system?

Just curious if there was still a possibility for a semi-nsx pitch'ed exhaust note.
