"How Much Did It Cost?"

I also convinced someone else it was a Civic coupe with a body kit.
Put that carbon fiber wing on it and you won't even have to say anything for people to think that. ;)

No, I think the difference is in how you define "rich". Someone who is heavily in debt and/or struggling to live from paycheck to paycheck on a $25K annual income might indeed consider any NSX owner to be rich - even if the owner's annual income is only $75K or even $50K, which would be at the very low end of the income distribution of NSX owners.

I know that there are many NSX owners who do not consider themselves rich, or lucky, or blessed, and that is unfortunate. For the fact is, there are many, many people out there whose circumstances are not as good as our own, and we do have a lot to be grateful for. All of us.

Tough... I agree with the person who posted that the underlying question is "are you rich" because immediately after they ask me how much my car was... they want to know what I do for a living.... hmmmm. And then, the kicker... from those who know how much the car is...."how much were your modifications?" That's the scarier question..... because it seems a lot more ...what's the right word... frivolous (to some - certainly not me)..... oh well... I too tell people what the car costs brand new, but say that I got a huge break.
