Honda IRL and Indy500 question

I've been out of the loop with IRL.. I just read Honda is supplying all 33 cars with engine..
What happen?
NO Toyota, Infiniti and other engine make?

Im all for Honda success as engine supplier but one engine series kinda dulls the sports a bit.. less competitive in a way because No need to make better engines they are all the same.

Toyota has gone to NASCAR. Infiniti sponsor the IPS feeder series.
