Trying to decide on which headers to get... I have the ARK catback exhaust now and was hoping to get headers to match.... im interested in the most power gains and sound would be secondary. The sound already is great :D

thx

search forums, there are at least 30 threads about headers and hp gain

Not just looking for the numbers... looking for user experience as well :)

Depend on your budget.

There are many good entry level USDM headers such as DC sports, Taitec, Comptech (if they still sell them).

If you can double that budget, JDM product such as Mugen, Fujitsubo, GT-One, Feel, and more will offer you unbeatable workmanship.

Luckly you have a NA1, therefore, you have more selection to choose from.

I have a NA2 and I opt for Fujitsubo. It sounds amazing, the built quality is probably one of the best out there. I got quite a bit HP increase as well on a NA2, which is a nice bonus.

If you want to be CARB legal in California, you have to go with DC, or Comptech.

Sos only way to go. That what I have.

When I was researching headers last month, the voice on the phone at SOS told me they aren't stocking their headers any more. He said I could order them, but it definitely seemed like he was trying to steer me away from doing that. He suggested the Cantrell headers instead.

The Hytech headers are definitely very highly regarded among the K series crowd and ITR guys. They've consistently outperformed their JDM counterparts in every application. However, there are quite a few readily available headers (already listed) that offer considerable performance improvement over the stock cast units.

I bought the Comptech headers several years ago and was impressed w/ the workmanship and am happy with the performance. There have been short strides in advanced design since then. If I had to choose again, I'd likely go with the Fujitsubo or Cantrell headers out of sheer desire to get the best workmanship and performance possible.

A good set of headers are like works of art and it's a shame the NSX engine compartment hides them.

I agree...I bought polished headers for nothing.

Check the english side and let me know when you are ready to order. I don't think you'll hear any complaints about our stuff and you'll be envied and loved so much more than before. Seriously. And just so everyone knows, Fujitsubo is pretty much out of the picture nowadays, at least in Japan. They can't give their stuff away...

FWIW I am willing to bet the GT-Rom header makes the most power of all. +113 HP for me after GT-Rom exhaust and CTSC. CTSC should not make near that.

I'm sorry... I can't help myself I just love the thing so much... yesterday I had a group of guys follow me on the highway and I just blipped the throttle for a sec, the driver caught up and looks at me, cups his ear with his hand, and gives me a thumbs up and a "go again" circle with his finger... clearly saying "nice sound". So I drop down a gear and rev to 8K, look in my rear view and they are all hanging out the windows trying to listen.

Saturday night I was trying to make a yellow light on a street in town where all the bars are with hundreds of people in line, so I got on it just a hair and again a host of stares and thumbs ups come from tons of people (by people I mean guys.. lol). When I go downtown and that high pitch echoes between the tall buildings, it is just unbelievable. Best investment I ever made. Maybe Mr. Tamura san was a wind instrument maker in a previous life.

That being the case, tell them to send a set of their 15k Inconel headers my way!

I bought te e-bay cheapy headers and a flowmaster muffler. Fit and finish were AWESOME, and powe difference was VERY noticeable!!!!!!! JUST b/c some will drop 3000$ on a set of headers, doesn't make them $2400 better than the $600 ebay ones!

I'm very pleased with the performance of Cantrell Headers on my 91 and there were no fitment/installation issues. I'm thinking of buying their exhaust for the same reasons. Hope this helps.

You mean I wasted $2400? Its all DJ's fault. I want my money back DJ.

I wouldn't put "cheapy" ebay headers on an 05 NSX ( or mine for that matter ) labor is too expensive if your having someone else do it. I see people complaining about Ebay M3 headers cracking all the time. If your doing the work yourself it's probably not that big a deal

There are over 30 variations of 304 and some of those are NOT a good choice for automotive exhaust systems. How many people selling headers know which chemistry they have in their tubing? 321 would be a much better choice in my opinion.
