Gran Turismo 5 Prologue in 2007

I wonder if all my cars that ive worked so hard to get in the japanese version will transfer over to the US version?

It's weird...the images are there the first couple of times I link to them, but then go away after awhile. Some of the links work if you click on them, others don't. Either way, you can see the images if you follow the link to GTPlanet.

I put the two NSX-R shots on to NSX Prime (I hope GT5 gives us an option to hide front license plates, since there appears to be a license plate on the front of the NSX-R, but not on the NSX in my earlier post :D)

That is weird. The last two images look great (especially the NSX in the pit; love the attention to detail) -- and that's saying something since i'm an avid PC gamer.

Dang Ferrari's F1 car is real nice surprise. I keep counting down the days till it's released!

I'm leaning towards the Fanatec 911 wheel since it's wireless and now that I know it's supported in GT5P and will most likely be supported in GT5.

Just fired up my japanese version of GT5 and it seemed to want to download a rather large update... 2 hours later (im guessing it was downloading it from japan?) I now have GranTourismo Prologue Spec II installed! This comes with one more track and a bunch more cars! And best of all it has the 2002 Honda NSX-R!

Although I think the HP #'s it has stated there are wrong for the NSX-R. They have 276HP???

Of course I played it all night long enough to earn 11,950,000CR to buy me one in Midnight Pearl of course! I must say its badass!

Some other cars that I noticed were the Ferrari F40, and a bunch of Tuned GT cars that I think you can buy... There's also an Ferrari F1 Indycar there too that is 200,000,000CR

Something new is the 2 Player VS mode (not online) where you can race split screen!

Also the online competition is greatly improved I must say...

This is all I've seen so far as the improvements goes..

I guess you missed my other GT5: Prologue thread which talks about the Japanese Spec II update. The leader boards got cleared, so I may still be up there on a couple of events.

I should have linked to this thread back when I started it...and I probably should have posted about the Spec II update here. D'oh!

Its all good man! Hey how do u take screenshots on the PS3? I cant figure it out.. thx :D

Hey enkrypt3d, how you doing buddy?

Only the japanese version includes the 2002? Do you have to do anything special or will the japanese version of GT5 play on a normal US PS3. I won't buy it unless i can have the 2002. Damn, that means i need to buy a PS3 also  .

lol hey mike how u doin bro? im doing great thanks!

Well I did buy this copy from one of the japanese online game stores thats listed in this thread. I couldn't stand it! I didnt care if it was in japanese...Although I'm just now figuring out what does what... I would wait a few more days the US version is coming out soon. But I'm not sure if its the Spec II or not (Spec II has the 2002+ NSX-R among a $h!t load of others)

One thing u can do though is download the japanese pre-demo version from the japanese store. Theres a bit of a hack to get it to work. I posted instructions on doing this a few pages back on this thread. :) Let me know if you can't get it to work! :D

Hey Man,
I'm doing good. I don't know that i will purchase the console before the game is released so the demo won't be of much use, but thanks for mentioning it. The game really looks good but i would like to have the 6sp NSX. Crossing my fingers that it will be the Spec II when released  .

An unexpected surprise (nice timing too)...Ferrari's F12007 car is in the PAL version of GT5: Prologue and probably in the U.S. version too:

Something is wrong with this picture. It says it costs 2,000,00CR?????

Each race, if you place 1st, you get anything between 500,000CR and 750,000CR... Making 2,000,000CR is a cake walk!

On my game this F1 car costs 200,000,000CR MUCH higher than the 2MCR That they have there... Whats going on here??

Does anyone have this car yet? It would be so fun to drive!

You're comparing the 2,000,000CR from the dolllar-based Prologue with the 200,000,000CR of the Yen-based Prologue?

You don't earn 500,000CR from the races in the dollar-based Prologue.

I haven't even bought my first Ferrari. I have kinda backed off playing since I know I'll be starting from scratch when the U.S. version comes out...next week!

Wait what? The saved games dont transfer between the japanese version and the US version!?! NOOOOOOOOO dammit!

So how are you taking these screenshots in game Akira3d?

I haven't been taking any screenshots. For the most part, those are official screens posted on gaming news sites.

As for saves transferring between the Japanese and U.S. versions, I have a feeling they will not. But there is an interesting wrinkle here in that Prologue is also somehow tied to our PSN accounts (and I've been playing the Japanese Prologue with my American PSN account). I'm curious to see how all of this works out.
