I have read over the years, reviews and questions on NSXPrime about lifts for the garage.
I just had this one installed today, and thought I'd share with you:

It is a BendPak single post 6000 lb parking lift. there are removeable panels in the middle for oil change type work, but with as with most drive on lifts, its best for storage. The benefit of this model is that it is a single post lift, so either up or down, there is a lot less in your way!!

Can you provide some contact info, cost estimates, I am interested.

Word on the street is that the beetle in the bottom right has flames on it :D The lift looks so sweet!

ps- if you think the garage is sweet you should see the rest of the house

If anyone would like to get some better prices than posted on Bendpaks website, PM me. I know the VP of the company and maybe we can set up a group buy or a limited time offer. I met him by working on his Silver S2000 that is seen in some of the pics. I recently purchased their most popular seller, a 4 post lift and got a great deal and inquired about a deal for others on either a 4 post or single post and was told, "no problem". I don't see the 1 post lift on the site anymore either.

Can you work on the underside of the car when on the lift? It looks like the bottom is solid in the picture.

I think he said there were panels that remove in the middle. That's an awesome garage. Please post more info on pricing etc. By the way, where did you get the nice NSX decal on the wall? That looks sharp too!!!! take care.

car lift

That's very nice! I want one. I'm in the process of building a garage. When I'm done with my garage I'm definately looking at a lift. Not for storage but to work on cars.

Do you think this lift would work well with the NSX? It looks like the wheels are up on the lift so it is basically zero height until you add the lift pads. If a discount could be applied to the SP-7X I may be interested in purchasing one.

Same company. This is the one that we should look thru to determine which lifts I need to get prices for. I considered the single post, but the requirements for the concrete were to much and the four post can pretty much sit on anything.
I was considering the four post for the same reasons.

Nice Lift (and garage).

I really like the fact that there aren't four posts to bump into.

Hey Steve,

Do you have an 8 or 10 foot ceiling in your garage? I can't really tell from the pictures.

[edit] Nevermind, from the specs on the lift it must be 10 feet.

Wow, you guys have answered almost all of the questions already!! As with ANY drive on lift, the ability to work on the car is limited by the fact that the car is sitting on the wheels, and the openings(in this case, 24" wide removable panels) are limited.
However, if you want a lift to be used for anykind of long term storage, it must be a drive on type of lift. It is BAD for a car to sit with the suspension hanging for any extended period of time. Its a comprimise no matter which way you go. I have my car sitting for much longer periods of time, than I do working on it, thus a drive on lift was better for me!

Its super cool, and the neighbors are more worried than ever :D

Ken,

I know you can't park under it. My garage is only about eight feet high so I would have space to park under it anyway. I'm looking for a lift that would be easier than using a jack and jack stands.

FYI - My 4 post list at its highest with my NSX on top goes like this.
Top of my car = 10ft.
Measuring under the lift(head room for the lower car) = 5'10"

There are 9 stops below the 5'10" highest that lower it 4 1/2" each. So, you could easily go down a foot and still be able to park another fairly low car underneath it and clear a 9ft. ceiling. If anyone would like me to take some more measurements, feel free to PM me.
Take care,
John
