Is that the highest power NA setup ?
One reason is because I want to to let the ECU tune each cylinder's mixture separately via a dedicated wideband O2 sensor for each cylinder. Another reason is I want to run individual throttle bodies, and any imbalance between cylinders will show up more readily. If the mixture on any one cylinder gets out of range, I can easily identify which one.
I am not sure which exhaust configuration is best for volumetric efficiency. There might be a simple reason for merging the exhaust from many cylinders together in symmetric fashion, because you want to keep the pressure as constant as possible inside the exhaust pipe? With individual pipes the pressure difference will of course be largest.
I am planning on using an ECU from Motec and tune it from scratch on an engine dyno. It will be an effort similar to the annual engine builder's contest catering to domestic V8 engines:
