Finally got my 2002 NSX *some pics*

Tsk , Tsk true sign of a mod junkie all that money in parts and then cheap tires. Don't drive in the rain on those babies..LOL

I am consistently baffled why people will spend thousands on go-fast parts and expensive wheels and then put some el cheapo tire on there. I want to ask them, 'If you put all of those parts on there to go fast, did you do it just for show,' because otherwise it makes no sense to have a set of General tires on a $4,000 set of wheels on a car with a supercharger and race suspension. If you ran out of money for the ONE THING that actually touches the road and makes all of those other parts perform their duties, your priorities are WAAAY out of whack.

Yep custom magnesium HRE's sitting on Kumho's squealin , barkin and slidin going around corners at 5 mph..LOL

My Falkens will eat your Goodyears for breakfast buddy. RT615 rules the streets.

I liked my RT615s too, they gripped like no other tire in the dry. in the rain....lets just say I drive about 45mph on the freeway, but it doesn't rain often in so cali

The RT615 is the highest grip dry tire you can buy. It has half the life of a goodyear GSD3 and it is not too good when wet. Its not about money for me but the ultimate dry performance and boy does it perform. Yes it happens to cost less than the Goodyear but I didn't buy it because it was cheap.

Don't worry. I don't. I actually take care of my NSX.

I'm sorry I didn't know you were a garage "queen" now:biggrin: I track my car and sometimes it rains on the way to the track. Of course that's why Honda gave it windshield wipers. You should take yours off to save weight as nobody likes a fat queen:biggrin: LOL

Where did you read that this tire is the ultimate dry tire????? when I googled it all I came up with was some fly by night internet tire shops that have them on special:biggrin:

Wingz, don't be jealous. When yours wear out, you too can buy some 615's.

LOL

Seriously where'd you read the info that Falkens you got were so great?? I follow tire info and always like to make sure I'm up to speed.

Oh and the only thing I'm jealous of is your exhaust set up rich boy..LOL

We are hijacking a bit here... but the 615 is a pretty dedicated tire. I saw a few reviews on the net, there was a test done by grassroots mtorsports and they rated it #1. Talk to NSXtasy, he knows his stuff when it comes to tires... it was his recommendation too. I was about to run a soft compound tire on the street. But I am not because they really need time to warm up. I can tell you from experience the 615 grips like nothing I have seen. Even if you see the cross section it has very little tread, almost like a slick, and its a softer compound and that' why it wears so fast. Its night and day with the factory RE040 or 050, whatever it was that I had stock. I think the GSD3 is an excellent all around tire but I doubt it can match the 615 in dry conditions. These have phenomenal grip. They are even decent in the rain, much better than I expected but when it rains I am only in the far right line going 45 MPH on my way home.

If you are going to be jealous, be jealous of the CTSC because all through first and second even the 615 cannot grip enough to keep the back end from breaking loose.

Yeah I need a tire that's let's me do normal freeway speeds in the rain and still be fast on the track in the rain. Maybe I'll get a second set of wheels to get track tires.

No I'm an NA guy and I actually think the NSX has good power already. If I wanted to go faster I would go with my boy Cody's turbo 500-700hp set up.

No more hijack

Nice George!!! My cousin has the same car. It makes me want to make the move too

Gorgeous looking NSX, congratulations!!

I highly recommend the carbon fiber rear diffuser, the 02 rear valence look much more complete with it. On a lighter color car like your it makes even bigger difference.

Thx, the diffuser looks nice, but I don't know how well it will show up on my car? its lowered, so it may not stand out much at all

Sorry, but I ordered the RT615s already , only because it doesn't rain much in sunny southern california anyway
