I am looking to purchase one of the original Ebbro 1/43 Zanardi models to complement my full-sized Zanardi #32, which I have owned since 2018. I realize these are extremely rare and finding one is a long shot. For what it’s worth, I am willing to pay a handsome sum for one that is in reasonably good condition. Thank you.

I don't have the book but I do have an original Zanardi sales brochure if perfect condition. LMK if you are interested in discussing further. Greg [email protected]

I've yet to see one offered for sale. The Ebbro ones do pop up on eBay every now and again. Virtually identical sans the "Honda Collection" script on the box. Kyosho offered a red 1:18 scale JDM Type S which looks spot on, sans the wheel color being a lighter silver vs the washi gray of the Zanardi. I bought mine on eBay along with the other color Type S variants.

Do you a Zanardi scale model?

Yes, I do and the best story ever of how I got it. It was a gift from a guy at Honda who was retiring, I was blown away when it came in the mail. Came with a nice note of AHM letterhead, essentially said "this will look better in your collection than mine, no one more deserving."

I posted pics here of it. They were signed by Uehara. I have insane NSX diecast collection, big time hoarder but at least I'm highly organized.

One day I might try to test the market….

I have the one from my Zanardi somewhere around here. I'm not sure how he did it, but somehow the model car is missing the mirrors from damage done by the original owner. So, probably not what you are looking for.

DId you ever find one? I have one I might be willing to sell... be careful though I have seen at least 1 fake before there is a website with tell-tale signs of a real vs fake.

get the RHD Type S, they already come in Imola
With functional steering in the model, I expect airbrushing the exterior will be ++ easier than moving the wheel & pedals (& the gauge cluster) over to the left, but @Honcho is a mechanical wizz so he could probably do it. (But I thought he used the last of his paint on the carbon scoops?)

Moving the wheel will be especially difficult because I believe the NSX interiors are not symmetrical and there is slightly more room on the driver's side? That would be a lot of plastic welding.

Realizing this may be stale thread, but did you find one?
My dad owned a zanardi edition and happy to share pics to verify. He (reluctantly) sold it about 10 years ago but kept the model. It’s been in my closet since. Happy to share pics if interested.

not sure this is what you are referring to but here’s a couple pics. Looks like I don’t have the box though.

Sure looks the part! Great find. Mine's my most prized car memorabilia possession. Misplaced it when I moved, was frantic and found it months later.
