NSXTASY, based on the style of your rating scale… your going to love VIR!
I sort of figured that. I tried going there at the end of last February, but it snowed a foot and a half the day before the event, and it was cancelled.

Ken, you may want to go ahead and pencil in:
Chin Motorsports at VIR, December 11/12 2005... We just did an awesome event there last month.

I agree with Rob, I've driven at 13 unique tracks nationwide, 60+ track events, and the fastest I've ever driven my NSX is at VIR... after seeing 150 on the speedo (BBSC power in my street NSX), I lifted, and let it coast into the braking zone... staying flat to the braking zone just didn't seem necessary

Here is a great lap around VIR:
Chasing Peter Cunningham

GOOD VIDEO! good video!! woot!! wow.. ya'll were gettin viscious in the back straight!!! I love VIR.. kinda glad i've made it my 'home' track...

*sigh* I miss the track.... in five days it would've been a whopping month..

oh well.. 2005 here i come!!!

Would you come down for a race or a track school? I have a few races scheduled at VIR next year, but likely wont get to a track event until Chin gets there next fall. Chin liked their inaugural event there, but VIR has the entire season booked with an 8 club waiting list. Anyway, let me know and I will see what fits our schedule.

Unless my partner can pull off the impossible for our Grand-Am season… I’m going to be up by you late April. I plan to swap the Cup engine in the NSX with a 600+ SC engine, and give One Lap a try. (VIR happens to be in the schedule)

Hey X-man, Chin Motorsports is at Roebling Road Raceway, Savannah, the last weekend of this month... see this thread ... it's just a straight shot down I-95. EDGEMNTS has contacted me about attending, also...

And speaking of Roebling Road (on topic), it's a pretty good little club circuit, 9 turns and 2.02 miles. It's relatively fast, with lots of medium/high speed sweepers, and nowhere does it have one of those 2nd gear hairpins that is typical of many road courses. A street NSX would lap using primarily 3rd and 4th gears, and if you're on track tires, you'll redline 4th and go to 5th on the over 3,000 foot long front straight. The entry onto the front straight is a fast sweeper, and if you get it right, your exit speed is 90+, and then it's hammer down for the next 20+ seconds to turn one, which is also fairly fast, and you don't have to brake too hard...

Nice vid Mark! That does seem to be a fast circut, lots of esses
