Tried a tankful once and not long after, the check engine light came on.
Sure, it would be possible to make modifications to the NSX to use E85 (but you would have to do the design and engineering of those modifications yourself). Just like the manufacturers have designed and installed modifications to special versions of their cars to be able to use E85 in them. I assumed the question was about whether the NSX, in its stock or commonly modified forms, could use E85 without risk. In which case, the answer is no.drew said:Like everything in life: It depends on persistance, knowledge and the thickness of your wallet.
That's similar to here, where (in much of the country) most brands have 93 octane but Sunoco has 94.AU_NSX said:Here in Australia, Shell have released a fuel called "Optimax Extreme" which is 100 RON and is also 5% Ethanol. The previous highest octane was Shell "Optimax" and BP "Ultimate" which were 98 RON.
So this 100 RON is currently the highest octane unleaded available except for pure racing fuels like ELF etc and contains 5% Ethanol!

Remember, our pumps are labeled with the "anti-knock index" so your 98 RON fuel would be labeled as 93 octane in the States.
