So glad I got rid of the HKS filter as the green mushroom looked totally out of place on the NSX. Looked great on my s2000 though.

Hi,

very tastefull mods.... but i don't think i'm feeling the white intake cover :frown:
red would be better to match the valve covers... with the car being white, there is already plenty of white in the engine bay :wink:

Why not go with a white STIMPO rear brace? That would look sick in there... do white or black...... or red

I like the brace thats already there, looks nice. I'd probably get it bead-blasted though. The STMPO brace is functional cool but probably too hardcore for the esthetic goal of this car.

The white intake cover is "meh" with me too. I'd get either a red one or have it wrapped in CF. Looks like the intake box is Cf wrapped, why not do the same for the intake cover?

IntegraXTR: Yes the CF is the 3M di-noc stuff and I have a thread posted in the VENDOR section if anyone wants this service.


UnhuZ: You don't know how many times I pondered the color of this valve cover. Red I thought would be too much since my valve covers are already red. I wanted a bit of white to contrast and like it so far. I can always change it to red later, takes 5 minutes to swap


enkrypt3d: Thanks for suggestion but that brace is too "Industrial" and not as sexy as the Comptech billet brace for sure. I'm waiting for someone to sell me their Comptech piece one day....


Running out of mods to do the car so probabaly once the 19's go on I'm going to just enjoy her for a while.

Same BBS LM's just going 1" BIGGER in the rear, 19x10" - awaiting UPS to bring them to me this week............stand by!

What size tires u going w/ in the back? You should do something like 295/30/19 or something super phat...

UPDATE: 12/14/09

Just received my UPS tracking so my 19" BBS LM's will be here just in time for my Birthday this weekend! woohoo :biggrin:

Planning to run 285/30's out back for a nice wide tire in the rear so stay tuned!


Thanks to another nsxprime member I was finally able to obtain this beautiful Comptech brace. I'm going to do a few more mods and my engine bay should be show worthy....

(as a result I have a almost new DALI Billet polished Triangle brace for sale in classified section if anyone is interested as pictured above^)

I finally see what all the fuss was about the OEM engine cover ~ I removed it the other day and holy shiet that thing is HEAVY! It must be close to 40lbs so I decided to just leave it off. I like how now I can view the engine bay through the tinted glass.

I really want to do a NSX-R rear window scoop but can't seem to find the right way to mount the thing to the rear glass.

Officially my 19x10" rearLM's are now on the car - perfect fitment. I've got a few more small mods to add for 2010 and the car should be done.

Plan is to unveil the car on 2/28 at the Wekfest show in SF! :biggrin:

Hong_NSX: thanks buddy, you picked probably one of the best pictures ever taken of my car ~ think we were doing about 70'ish when that picture was taken. Just a perfect day with a very skilled photographer!

***back on topic, for 2010 my NSX is finally sporting the proper shoes for the car ~ got my 18"/19" DSK LM's on the car with a fresh set of Toyo's. Planning to unveil this new setup at the Wekfest show in Japantown 2/28/10 but will have a teaser pic later tonight. I also got a host of new CF dress up bits and NSX-R parts that will be on the car for a fresh look this year.
