Yeah it's all pretty straight forward. Philips screwdriver is basically the only tool you needI think I should restore the blower motor on mine also. Any special tools or methods needed? All the seals just remove and install? It is all removed from under the front compartment?
Keep up the awesome work!
Thanks!Nice progress
Looking good, ready for the HSCCA run to the high country next Feb..........
Cheers, Scott
DC plus gtlw sounds great...I get many compliments at track events....delete cats and you will never be able to sneak around town:wink:
They are a pain in the butt. The gasket will be perished and stuck hard to the body of the car. A plastic trim removal tool will be your friend!Looks great:
Question: any "difficulties" to dismount the NA1 tail lights ?
Tried it by myself just to see if it works "on a short notice".
The middle part was fu***n easy but althouhg I unscrewed all the small nuts from the left part it did not want to come out.
Felt like there was still a screw / nut holding it in place but there was no.
Is there a "trick"?

Also as you probably figured the center piece has to be removed first before the tails will come out. Undo all the nuts and gently work around the studs to push the light out. Leaving the nut on the thread and using the socket to push on it helps a little also. But yes they are a pain. Mine weren't so hard because it was the 2nd time they had been removed.
Got some brushed black metallic vinyl and had an expert friend test wrap an interior piece for me. I like the effect. I'll do these window switch inserts and the stereo/center console trim in the same.
Thanks Senninha! Yeah I'm doing the console to match I'm hoping it does hold up. If not we can always cut around the window switches and leave them black. The brushed black aluminium looks fantastic! Are you doing console to match?
I'd be interested to see how it holds on to the panel in the window switch recess. I did a DIY with a CF wrap and whilst the panel was good once the cabin got hot the area around the switch would lift. Hope you don't have same issue as it was done by professional installer.
Did I say I really like this effect?
