I have read that you can do unlimited launches with the car without fear of overstressing the engine or drivetrain, as the electric motors take the brunt of the stress initially while the engine spools up. Less shock on the drivetrain as well. So, the transmission is coming into the equation after the car is already moving....... The electric motors provide 100% torque immediately and fill the torque gap from the engine and turbo lag.....
