what are you trying to go for? loudness? smoothness of sound? i'm sure you'll find the right one since you're just about done with the DTS. why not the arc? those pop up from time to time actually twice in one month i saw on the for sale section here. or you can get it brand new. i'd say the GTLW, the JGTC Parallel, the GT-One v.4 or 5.1, the bel-canto, the gt extreme, or the arc you'd have to choose from, from the looks of it. or even the DT-X? i'm sure you'll find something. i also take it you want an exhaust ASAP!?:tongue::smile::biggrin:

I don't want it to be too loud... I like the fact that the GT Extreme has the baffles that you can modify the sound inside the actual muffler and not just at the tips...

And yes the sooner the better! hehe when I make up my mind on something I want it sooner than later heh

I like the F1 sound of the GTX, and the throaty raw sound of the BC... so its tough to decide... And with my Random Tech cats and Top Speed Headers I'm sure both of them will be amazing

you shuold get vance's dual tip bel-canto. i think he's upgrading to something toward the titanium exhaust bel-canto if you'd call it that, haha.

I'm not gonna pay $5k for exhaust :) But yea I like the single tip better... it just looks better to me... Do you think there is a difference in sound between dual & single tip?

Nope, i've heard both...vance's (dual tip) and long's (single tip) and they both have the same symphony, haha.

Oh and another note, vance's exhaust is not 5k ...really? where'd you get that from, lol.

Vance, do you have any in cabin video clips? Any drone inside the cabin? Thx

I don't. Sorry.

It does not drone, you can ask Erick, Ron, Danny, Graeme, Hac, Mike Cruz, etc, they will tell you.

As for the sound, if you don't want it too loud, keep the cats.

The decision of staying with single tip over dual tip (quad) is because of cost and to reduce the rasp sound.

But anyway.

As for Quy, thanks for the order, I know it's been four months since you want the exhaust and you will lover every second of it.

Thx Vance, do you have any videos w/ the cats on yet? If not does anyone else? :) Thx for answering all my questions...

LoL I was talking about the Titanium or Inconel exhaust.. can't remember which one...

in that case, i think vance is selling the dual tip bel canto he has currently. you wouldn't even need to wait! well until vance gets a replacement exhaust haha.

.

Are you planning on running OEM cats, high flow cats, or test pipes?

It is similar to the 5.1, with slightly deeper sound at low RPM, and same high pitch at 8k. Single can design allows it to be a little louder even with cats.

Right now im on oem headers and oem cats... but i have headers and random tech cats that ill be installing soon..

What kind of header? Different header will create different sound. High flow cats will be almost as loud as test pipes, but make your life a little more livable during spirited driving.

Top Speed F1 headers...which are pretty much identical to DC header I think...

I'm running Top Speed with Pro Speed Cats on my Bel Canto.

That's an idea header, if it has the same spec as DC.

On my car, the low RPM sound is slightly deeper than other is because my header has large diameters of any after market headers, with slightly smaller diameter pipes of the Top Speed, the upper RPM pitch will be slightly brighter.

Also, in case you didn't read the earlier part of the thread, the Bel Canto has been dyno'd proven. The exhaust has the same dyno number as my old GT-One v.2, which is considered to be one of the most free flow exhaust out there.

Welcome to the club 350zToronto...

Well guys I finally got the exhaust on the car. The fit is perfect and the sound is amazing. There is no drone at all. When crusing it is very quiet inside, not sure what it sounds like outside yet, I drove it for about 10 min. before I had to put the car away. When you first start the car there is a little bark, very nice and authorative. At idle there is a low deep rumble that is very pleasant. When you get going there is a deep tone and an ever so slight bark from 1800 to 2100 RPM which immediately goes away and then a beautiful melodeous sound eminates from the rear of the car. As you go to Vtek the pitch builds and changes to a higher pitch and as you approach readline, and then there is a nice soprano crechendo. Finally driving the car is audibly pleasant as opposed to it sounding like a vacuum cleaner.

The whole experience is very Fcar like and sure puts a smile on your face. I will spend more time with it on Tuesday and then hopefully this weekend. I might be able to get someone to do a sound clip this weekend for all those interested.

My car is a stock 2004 with no intake or header changes and stock cats.

Thanks again Vance, love the exhaust, it is every bit the way you described it. I was worried it may be too loud inside, but it is not, it is very civilized and sophisticated. Now I gotta hear it from the outside, to get the other perspective.

Tytus, thanks for helping us push to get the production going!!!

This exhaust is truly amazing... Wait till you try it with high flow cats or test pipes... It will knock you socks off!!!

So, when are you getting your high-flow cats from ProSpeed?

I'm on test pipe, but I am on schedule to get a pair from Brian when I get my car back from DF. I need to pass smog in a few months.
