Anti-freeze

Question for race prepared cars. (Daily drivers on track don't apply). Common belief is that it's dangerous and messy when spilled on the track, and therefore not good in the car; we all agree on that?

Question then is, what racing organizations have rules that ban anti-freeze? It has come up on other forums and seems strange to me that SCCA does not ban anti-freeze. Must be a case where rules and logic don't always coincide? Anyone have any interesting history on this issue?

Edit: Oops, maybe this belongs in the general track forum.

My only knowledge comes from a weekend running in a BMWCCA race, but we were a warm-up race for Grand-Am. Those of us admitting to having anti-freeze were required to drain it for the weekend.

The HPDE event (driving school) that the Ferrari Club of America held at their annual convention did not permit cars with antifreeze to participate. That's the only such instance I'm aware of for a driving school, rather than an actual race.
