After all these German and Italian cars- I have an NSX finally!

Looking good! I also noticed you got the exhaust surrounding blacked out. Unless you're close to the car, you can no longer tell whether your car has the exterior CF package or not (especially in pics).

Had the rear and front badges blacked out---along with that nasty chrome strip on the front brow:

Look sweet!! I was seriously considering to do that too, but the guy did the full Xpel wrap and Ceramic for me indeed saying the Chrome looks better .. (mine is Casino Pearl white too) and he said wrapping that front chrome piece probably not durable ... (live in Canada, weather and roads are bad *_* )

I think it looks much better black. I'm removing mine all together though, unless the rear one has a mounting peg, then it goes back black :)

Good eye sir... I just have the aftermarket black package LOL. And you are right its hard to tell even in person from a decent length.

My HFC's just arrived from across the pond and will be installed next week. Because of where I live with good roads, I might just do the easy drop with H&R (.8 inch square they claim or 20mm). Even with that drop, if I do it, both my GTS's (AMG and Porsche) will still have less front end clearance. I also had my local mod guy, Supreme Power, build a few sets of spacers with the whacky center bore that this car has vs. other Acuras. Ill have 12mm, 15mm, 18mm, and 20mm to test out.

I just dont think chrome does and Im sure many others agree. You could easily wrap it for 25-50 bucks and see how the elements treat it. Fortunately in So Cal things are pretty good weather wise.

You will be much happier with the black or it gone for sure... and congrats on your bada$$ ride too.

@Cal_92

Since I dont have FB- please update me when/if a piggy comes out for our car....

Im running one on my F90 M5 until my local tuner delivers a flash tune and the car is tremendous (a few guys are at 10.8/130 with the piggy I have) and then there are crazier piggys with the proper fuel running 10.4 at 135 (JB4) but I wont got that agro.

Sounds good Vic! Here is a screenshot of the FB post from Tunerwerks:

There is also another one from Hydramotorworks...In the meantime, we've been told to be patient. Will keep you updated...

Oh wow 85 hp and 73 tq (100 nm) will go a long way!!! Thanks.
It will get us in the ballpark of 911tt and r8 plus, which is what this car was priced against. If Acura wanted to create some buzz and loyalty, they would offer this tune through dealerships free or at low cost like the 2012 mp4-12c

I reached out to tunerwerks direct and got this response when I asked if ready:

Yes it is. Tuning module is smart piggyback system that is factory warranty friendly as it does not leave any trace on ECU. Gains are 97hp 85tq. It’s special order from Germany HQ and normally takes about 2-3 weeks

I assume those are numbers with other supporting mods. How much is it and who’s going first?
I see both of these questions answered over on the FB page. $2700 and 'JJ Dubek' plans to dyno before/after, with/out supporting mods after a 3wk adaptation period.

Im gonna see what the local retailer throws at me.... I dont like 2700 for a piggy- that seems too high.

Wow that is awesome! But 97HP gain? That sounds too good to be true, and probably all the gain is from the 3.5V6 TT ... I am happy with 50-60hp gain, and think more realistic ... Piggy means "plug and go" ? (Cheat the ECU?) then $2,700 is deep, consider mostly ~$400-1,000, may be $1,500 max IMO.Well, will see, got 15 inch of snow few week ago, not going to drive it for another 5-6 month anyway ...

Yes, this is great stuff. Looks like they upped their gains slightly from their initial announcement. Only downside is the price tag, but given that the NSX market is extremely small and the piggyback tune has just been announced (and first to market), it's sort of justifiable. And if those gains are true (+~100 hp/85tq), that's even more justifiable. (I was also just expecting about half of those gains.). I wish there were more details such as where those gains are coming from, but it all most likely comes from the TT V6. All in all, this is great news and hope we get more info soon (dynos and real world results).

I hope JJ Dubec is ok with me sharing this pic here, but we do have a guinea pig for the piggyback tune. :)

Thanks, let us know when its installed. Normally I can install a piggy in about 10 min depending on the connector location. Of course, I was quoted by the "local" tunerwerks distributor 1 to 2 hours and 2699 for the part. The dyno reports will be interesting to see as well.

Hi, so, is that similar to those "Race Chip" RS/GTS tuning??

Im assuming so since its labeled as a piggy back unit that is not a true ECU flash. Usually these are great for pricing and ease of install.
