Lol! About that, i actually only started posting pics that they've been sending me from the body shop as of a few days ago. They've been working on the car for 2.5 months. It looks like progress was fast, but no, it took a long time. The original photos of when the car was still black and marked up for body repair were taken back in June.

ahhh ok you are just like the rest of us:biggrin:

Awesome color!!! I had the same feeling about 1.5 years ago when I saw the first 2017 Nouvelle Blue NSX.

My car was black also and had sooo much needed body work I just bit the bullet and painted the whole car leaving the roof and engine bay black. This color was almost impossible to match!

I’m curious to see how close your car is to an original 2017+ nsx. Mine was close but definitely a little different. Either way car looks great so far!

We shall see soon enough. I have a feeling it will be spot on. We got the color mix directions directly from the factory.

It's been a little more than a week since i last posted, but here some shots of the body being color sanded. Polishing stages started today and should be done tomorrow. Then, it's a matter of putting her back together. Needless to say, three months is way to long to be away from my NSX. The wait is driving me insane.

To fill the void during the NSX's absence, i've started working on another limited-production Japanese classic that has been sitting on my driveway since last November. Though, not nearly as cool as the NSX - I've been getting my hands dirty with this little 92 SVX LS-L AWD Touring. What do you guys think?

Wow, wow and WoW ... and thats before you've finished and final prep!

Over my years of ownership I have been asked many times about the colour of my NSX, Magnum Grey Pearl. There are 2 in the UK, another 3 I know of in Europe. It was never an option for the USA but I believe there are now several reconditioned NSX in the USA that are sporting the Magnum finish ... I suspect you too will receive many enquiries asking you for the colour details ,,,

Retaining the black top with the Nordic in my opinion does two things ... its a nod to the originality of the NSX as well as reflecting modern Italian presentation. Selecting a classy OEM colour for the latest generation I believe is inspired as you're not hiding the fact that you've refreshed your NSX, but you're also not shutting your market should you ever let the car go, as an enthusiast of the NSX would be proud to own such well presented and unique looking car.

If I owned an NSX requiring a refresh, There are few colours I would consider other than Nordic!

As for which rims to opt for ... how long have you got? Definitely need to ditch the chrome! O2's in original silver would obviously work ... or maybe something like the Niche Targa, in silver in a 17/18 combo as they are 'similar' in design to NC1 alloys and would compliment the colour choice really well ... just a couple of ideas, have fun deciding ...

regards, Paul

starting to look like nord with the polish!....that suburu was a very interesting design...at a time when all the jdm's were stretching their legs and getting "randy" think rx7 mitsu 3000 ect..

Color is on point! Any doubt, put your hand over the back half of the car. Check out that gray! Colorsanding is done. Progress is slow, but it’s progress nonetheless.

Wow. Just, wow. WOW! Nice job so far.

Haven't had any major progress in a couple of weeks. But, just so you have em, here are a couple of shots from last week.

A couple shots by the Jedi Master of motorsports photography Larry Chen (a full feature to come at completion of the project)

A handful of iPhone progress shots:

Thank you everyone for the inspiring comments. I too think this thing is going to be pretty amazing when it is done. I'm not going super crazy with this build, certainly nothing like what we did for Clarion Builds, but it will look good. Here are some of the latest updates. Panels are all fitted back on the car, sans the spoiler (not sure why). Factory exhaust was removed and a new CircuitWerks catback system was installed. Now we're just waiting for a couple inner fender liners to come in and the glass guy to come out to install the new upper windshield seal and then its off to get a proper detail... She is extremely dusty from sitting for so long.

Next on the list, altitude adjustment, wheels and tires, fresh interior.

Amazing transformation!!!!! The color is fantastic.

Not sure if mentioned but the “NSX Starter Pack” includes the 02+ rear valence. Minor detail but huge impact. Would have been the perfect time to have painted and perhaps have both to choose from.
