I have been shopping for an NSX for the past year. I finally found
the car I wanted about three weeks ago.

I was looking at Vetts, Panteras, Ferrari's, and the NSX.
The NSX won because it is a rolling orgasim.

My question is this. I heard from a couple of different sources
that the 91's through 93's are the most desirable because of the
fact they are hand built. Is there any truth to this ?? Or is it
salesmen moving their lips ?

to the best of my knowledge, they are built in the same fashion.

check the FAQ for model changes by year

They are all hand built.

The earlier model NSXs are more desirable to some because they have OBDI as opposed to OBDII (that is part of the pollution control systems) so their engines are easier to modify. But I don't know if OBDII was introduced in 1994 or later.

The early models were all coupes so they are also more desirable for track use since they have more torsional rigidity.

All are hand built. Sounds like a salesman moving his lips! If 91-93's were so much more desireable, why would their re-sale prices be less than 94+? Comon, think about it. You need to read more about pricing in the faq's here.
